    How long it takes

    Getting a degree to be a Psych NP will take anywhere from 6 to 9 years, we are going to say it will take a hypothetical 8 years.

  • Masters degree complete, along with the 500 acredited clinical hours

    After you have the knowledge from this, you should be ready to take on the other challenges involved in becoming a pcych NP. To get the Masters, you need Three graduate-level courses in advanced physiology/pathophysiology, advanced health assessment, and advanced pharmacology.

  • Passing your RN active licence test

    This will take about 2 to 10 weeks in Nebraska, so we will say it took 6 weeks.

  • CONGRATULATIONS

    You are now offically a licenced NP! These positions are high in demand, you finding a job will likely be the easiest part of the whole process.
