Born on October 30th 1980 at Botsford General Hospital in Farmington Hills, MI weighting 9lbs 7oz.
-
The Beginnings, the first 6 months
-
The first two years: Biosocial, Cognitive, and psychosocial
-
The day after my sister's 4th birthday I took my first steps
-
My first word was ball, not mamma or dadda but ball. Apparently there was this big red ball that I couldn't keep my hands off of.
-
I didn't go to daycare but my mother watched a few kids while all the older kids went to school. At the beginning of the new school year I met my first friend that I always played with. She was the same age as me and we were inseperable at the age of 2, her name was Christina and she lived two doors down from me

The Play Years: Biosocial, Cognitive, and psychosocial
-
When I was 5 yrs old my mother gave birth to my little sister and I always wanted to help feed and hold her. We have a lot of pictures of my older sister and I keeping an eye on my younger newborn sister.
-
I was put into Kindergarten at the normal age of 5, however I cried for the first two weeks and my mother took me out. One year later she enrolled me again and I was perfectly fine. Apparently I just wasn't ready at 5 yrs old
-
I broke my arm when I was 6 yrs old by jumping off of a chair backwards while playing with my childhood friend Christina. I had to have surgery and had pins put in it. This happened at the very beginning of summer so I spent the whole summer with a cast on while all the other kids went swimming and had fun. My arm is perfectly normal now.

The School Years: Biosocial, Cognitive, and psychosocial
-
Book-It was a program the school did to get kids to read and in return you got a free personal pan pizza from Pizza Hut when you completed so many book reports. I was at the top of the list in my class. I don't know if it was the pizza or the books that I liked more.
-
I danced in tap and jazz classes and my mom always said I was the happiest when I was dancing. I stopped when the school offered different sports but I have always been active
-
I grew up in a middle class family, some times where harder than others but one thing that my parents never faught about was money. My mom stayed home with the kids and my dad worked on the line at Ford. We never wanted for anything and we were raised with good morals and ethics
-
Adolescence: Biosocial, Cognitive, and psychosocial
-
I joined the National Honor Society (NHS) and Students Against Drunk Driving (SAAD) when I was a junior in high school.
-
I can remember sitting in Biology class and we were learning about the menstrual cycle. The teacher was asking all sorts of questions to the class and I had no idea how to answer any of them. I was 17 when I got my first period, a lot later than all my friends.
-
I was a senior in high school and the year before when I was a junior I finally made it on hoemcoming court. When I won homecoming queen it gave me an extra boost of confidence that carried me through the rest of the school year. I was now a more confident self-aware person

Emerging Adulthood: Biosocial, Cognitive, and psychosocial

This is a little personal but I had my first real relationship when I was 23, there was nothing really before that and I am still with him!!!
-
My then boyfriend/now fiance started living together. This made our relationship stronger.
-
After completing all the coursework I possibly could at community college, I found myself back where I started at The University of Detroit Mercy. If only I had stayed there, I would have been done a lot sooner.
-
Adulthood: Biosocial, Cognitive, and psychosocial

Finally, I graduated college with a Bachelor of Science.
