The history of the Frankenstein family. They adopt Elisabeth. Victor is supposed to marry her. He goes to Ingolstadt (Germany). There, he studies anatomy and wants to discover the body secrets.

After all his studies, he succeeded in creating an alive monster from pieces of dead bodies. That night the monster comes alive and scapes from Victor's house.

Henry Clervald, a friend of Victor, comes to help him with his problem. Victor gets very ill and they discover that the monster killed William, Victor's brother.

Justine, the servant of the Frankenstein family, is judged by the murder of William. Finally, she's condemned to die in the hung, unfairly.

The monster explains his story. He went to Chamonix and Mont Blanc after his creation. There, he met a family and he starts to study them to understand the human being and behaviour.

The monster continues studying the family. He discovers that every person that sees him, they start shouting and they run away. He wants to meet the family but he realised that they will hate him too.

He decided to enter the house and meet the old one of the family, as he was blind. Then a young boy entered the room and found the monster. He made him go out of the house with a stick, as an animal. Once out, he found William, and when he shouted, the monster got angry and killed him. Now, he wants a wife and tells Victor to do one for her.

Victor refused to do it at first but after the monster's threat, he decided to do it. Frankenstein was feeling very lonely and he needed someone who loved him.

Victor started creating his other "human" being for Frankenstein. Finally, he realised that it was a bad idea and he started destroying it. He didn't want to create another destructive monster.

Frankenstein wanted revenge and he decided to kill Victor's friend, Henry Clervald. He also told Victor that he will be waiting for him at his wedding with Elisabeth, and he will kill them.

That wedding day arrived, and the monster was waiting for Victor and Elisabeth. In their honeymoon, the monster killed Elisabeth while she was sleeping and Victor tried to kill him, unsuccessfully. He was filled with anger and revenge desire.

Victor started following the monster for his revenge. Finally, he failed and was found in a piece of ice in the artic (prologue). Then, Victor explained his story to the crew and made them promise that if they see him, they will kill him. Victor died and the monster appeared. He felt very sad for his death and the crew didn't kill him. He escaped from the ship. He wanted to die alone in the north.
