He went to the U.S when I was 3 months old. I met him when I was & years old it was an epic moment that I was able to hug him and talk to him in person not by phone.

I got my first job when I was 16 years old. I applies to be the hostess of a restaurant in Clarksville called El Azteca and until this day I still work there. I was scared because my English was not that good but it went well. She was one of my first co-workers and now friend.

Since I moved to the U.S in 2014 I had to be in the English Language Learners program. After 1 year in the middle of the school year in 10th grade, my ELL teacher told me that I passed the test and I didn't need ELL support anymore. I was now taking regular classes.

This was epic for me because I bought this phone with my savings from a whole year. It took a little while because I only worked two day a week, but it was possible.

It was scary but exciting for me. I did not know what I was awaiting for me. The day went smoothly, I liked all my teachers and classmates. It was not as bad as I thought it was going to be. I think I took a big step in life. Even though I was basically alone because, none of my friends apply to HCC but I got to meet new people.

I graduated from Oakland Mills High School. It was an exciting moment in my life because it was the en of a cycle but,the beginning of another one.

Every year I go back to Mexico and try to visit new towns around Mexico to know more about the culture that surrounds me. I have also traveled around the U.S.In this picture I went to the Pyramids of Tenochtitlan.

I got to see my friends from Mexico. I left Mexico when I was in 8th grade and after four years our little group got together. It was very special for me because I missed them so much and they are a big part of my life.
