The movement, which became known as the Mexican War of Independence was led by Mexican born Spaniards, Mestizos and Amerindians who wanted independence form Spain. This was important because this was supposed to be unrealistic, but the people defeated the Spanish Colonial Authorities and gained their Independence. -

Matt Perry goes to Japan
Matt Perry set on a journey to japan in 1852, he went from Northfolk, Virgina to Japan. He went out seeking a trade treaty with Japan. When he got to Japan he was met by representatives of the Tokugawa Shogunate. He didnt get the treaty at first, but then he threatend to use force. The Shogunate didn;t have the power to defeat Perry's infultry, so they agreed to a treaty. This is important, because this was the first American and Japenese trade treaty. -

Sepoy Mutiny also known as the Indian Rebellion of 1857 was an uprising against Britians East India Company's army. The uprising turned into a civial rebellion mostly centerend in the North Central Region of India. This was important because this was the first Indian War of Independence. -

The formal Unification of Germany into a politicaly and administrativly intergrated nation state officailly occured at this time, at the Versailles Palace's Hall of Mirrors in France. Princes of the German states gathered there to proclaim Wilhelm of Prussia as Emperor Wilhelm of the German Empire after the French capitulation in the Franco-Prussian War. This was important because Germany was officially a nation state. -

The Berlin Confrence regulated European coloization and trade in Africa during the new imperialism period, and coincided with Germany's sudden emergent to power. King Leopold ii led the confrence he controlled most of Africa before and after the confrence. This was important becuase Africa would not recover from this, it broke apart all of Africa. -

This was a conflict that grew out of the imperial ambtions of the Russian Empire and the Japenese Empire over Manchuria and Korea. Russia wanted a warm water port on the Pacif Ocean, for there Navy as well as there trade, This was important brcause the Japenese beat one of the highest powers in the world. -
