the battle of Nuuanu was fought in the July of 1782. King Kamehameha had gone to the island of Oahu to conquer the island to unify the islands. He had suceeded and took the cloak and wore it of the cheif of Oahu that died in the battle. the cloak is now in the Bishop Museum.
