Back this year, our household only had a television, a radio, and newspapers. My family relied on these for news and updates. As for the fun, we were entertained by DVDs. I was just a baby then.

nothing much changed in this year except for myself banging my head along to Evanescence's "Bring Me to Life." "WAKE ME UP! WAKE ME UP INSIDE!" I was still a baby then
-
The TV, radio, and newspapers are still relevant. The radio was my favorite this time, I used to bond with my grandmother with her choice of songs. "Having you near me, holding you near me"
-
Now, this is where the TV became my favorite pastime. I loved watching kids' shows especially "Little Einsteins," too bad I didn't grow up as a genius.
-
now you might think it's weird for a young girl to love newspapers but for me, at that time, I loved reading the news and solving the crossword puzzles in the newspaper, not to mention my habit of smelling it especially when it's new.
-
No, I don't mean that Barbie flip phone that plays a weird song when you open it, I actually had a phone used for communication. I was in kindergarten at that time, I remember it was twice as large as my hand and it was pink. That's when I learned how to use phones. I claimed I was a professional gamer for having a high score in the game "Snake".
-
every time I was in our house, my eyes were glued to the TV screen. I did still watch cartoons but my favorite this time was the TV series "The Spectacular Spiderman". I also became a fan of comics at this time.
-
I could say I was privileged enough because I had access to gadgets I needed as I started learning in an elementary school. I remember we would often use magazines and newspapers for projects and we used Sine'skwela DVDs to learn some topics, it definitely made learning fun for us kids.

This was the year Youtube goats surfaced the internet. My young mind felt like it experienced peak entertainment at this time. Vines? Unlimited replay of songs and videos? Name it, I've done it all. I was also convinced that I memorized every song a TV show had to offer because they were one click away.
-
this was when piZap was a famous editing tool on the internet and I used it numerous times thinking I was making masterpieces but it turned out that I was making a series of eyesores. In my defense, I was young and naive, and not creative at all.

We all know the man, the legend, the meth, Michael Joseph Jackson. I remember the events clear as day, me binge-watching his videos on Youtube, replaying his DVDs and CDs in our player, memorizing his songs, attempting to learn his dances, and shamelessly moonwalking on our school hallways. If you heard someone randomly screaming "HEE HEE," that was me.

This was the year I had tons of unread books in my Wattpad Library. Along with that, I was amazed that I could read novels, fanfictions, and drabbles online. That's when I thought that technology is indeed taking over.
-
This was the year I created a Twitter account to support Darren Espanto, and the first time I fangirled over a guy my age (instantly became inactive because I forgot my password). I definitely don't recommend this phase. I also pursued my career in journalism this year, it was my first time joining.
-
This was the year I created my Instagram account. In this same year, I had an uncontrollable obsession with Youtube mainly because of Pentatonix
-
This was the year I realized the importance of writing emails so I practiced composing and using them. Of course, that was not entirely true, I still had an obsession with PTX at that time.
-
I jumped from one app to another at this time. I also developed unhealthy sleeping habits because I used to stay up later than the ideal sleeping time. This year was the start of my sedentary lifestyle.
I also made my second Twitter account(current main account) this year. -
This year, I pondered on a lot of things. I cut off on my exposure to gadgets. Read infographics for a healthy lifestyle and realized that everything is not so bad as long as it's in moderation. I also created my second Facebook account for personal BUT reasonable purposes.

This was the year the pandemic started. It took a lot of good things from all of us. This was the year that led us into resorting to social media and online things to cope with the devastating events. The year we relied our happiness on things on the screen. As for me, I started reading AO3 fanfictions
-
In this year, I'm trying to rekindle my love for a lot of things: reading, writing, speaking and other background skills I have. I am trying to improve these and utilize the resources I have such as the internet and my gadgets. I am trying to adapt to the situation so that I'd be an effective person and a better version of myself.
