Trip to Nord-Pos-de-Calais
My timeline is about my trip to Nord-Pos-de-Calais. If you ever wanted to go here, and decided to drive to different towns, this just shows what you could do on a budget. -
Day 1 -Hotel in Calais
It's more of a smaller hotel. Not fancy what so ever, and its kinda sketchy. But the bright side is it's a cheap hotel to stay at, so therefore I would be saving money. -
Day 1- Beach
The beaches in this area are very beautiful. The beaches are also very popular to tourist, specially off of the coast. -
Day 1-Bagelstin
This is a restaurant that basically just serves bagels among other things. It's also on the cheaper side for restaurants in this area. I would be having breakfast here. -
Day 2 -Asnieres-sur-Verge (Coulonge)
This is actually a museum. It is a older museum with a bunch of other little houses around it. In these houses are different exhibits. -
Day 2 - Monsieur
This is more of a fancier restaurant. But if you really wanted to you could get some American foods. It's also more on the expensive side though. I would be having breakfast here. -
Day 2- Au Pavillion des Delices
This is a fancy seafood restaurant. It is of the more expensive restaurants but, your getting a lot of food for the price you're paying. I would be having dinner here. -
Day 3 - Pizza Kiosk
This is a small pizza parlor in Guines. It's honestly kind of like Pizza Hut. I would be having lunch here. -
Day 3 - St. Joseph Village
It's literally like a little village where you could have a fun family day. A couple of stores you can buy a lot of trinkets. There is also a restaurant in one of the houses where, you can go in and sit down. One of the places is where, you can drink. -
Day 3 -La Ferme Gourmade
This is a expensive and very fancy restaurant. Not only do they serve dinner but also breakfast. You don't know get that much food, for the price you pay. Probably the most expensive thing on the menu, would be steak. Also if you got champagne here, you would be looking at a pricey meal. So try to keep it simple. -
Day 4 - Jardin du Beau Pays
This is a very large garden in Marck. The scenery is very beautiful here. It's a good place to relax and get rid of stress. -
Day 4- Breakfast at the hotel
Despite the looks on the outside the breakfast, is actually nice. To save some money, I would just eat here for the morning. Instead of going out to eat every day. -
Day 4- Les relais des 3 communes
This is a fancy restaurant. I would be eating dinner here. You kinda are getting more food, then you would at other restaurants like this. The rating is 4/5. -
Day 5 - Breakfast at the hotel
I decided to just do breakfast at the hotel again. In the picture below, you can see what kind of food they serve. By just staying at the hotel for breakfast is just saving me money, while I'm staying in France. -
Day 5- Musse du Jouet cheval
This is a museum full of wooden and toy horses. Some are metal, but not many are like this. It even has a small area where little children can paint a small horse themselves. -
Day 5- La Maison Du Chef
This where I would be having dinner. On the menu you can either choose from american food or seafood. The rating for this restaurant rating is 4.5. There is a lot of of pleasant comments on this restaurant. Not only is the is the service great but so is the food. -
Day 6-Au Cap Compas
This is really only place in Gravelines, that serves breakfast. So I didn't really eat at the hotel once again so, I just choose this place. the rating was 3.8. The food is very cheap here and it's not that fancy, either though. -
Day 6- Belfry
This would be my last stop in Gravelines, before I headed back to Lille for the night. The Belfry you can actually go inside and take pictures. You could also learn some new facts. It's kind of like a court house and museum mixed together. -
Day 6- Best Hotel (Lille)
i would be staying one night here. To make one more stop at restaurant, then at a tourist attraction. Then after that I would return my car and head to the airport, to get back to the US. -
Day 7- Bagelstein
I would be having breakfast here. They basically just serve bagels here. The bagels are not expensive at all, and they also make it very easy just to order offline. -
Day 7 -Gusto Mio
This is final stop before returning my rental, and heading to the airport. This also another fancy restaurant. Shocking, I know but,it's not as expensive as the other ones. This one consists of some seafood but, not a lot like other restaurants. I choose this one because it was of the more cheaper ones, that I could find. -
Day 7-Palais des Beaux-Arts de Lille
This would be my second to last stop in Lille. It's literally an art museum with a lot of famous paintings. I couldn't find out much it cost to get in. But my guess would probably be $15 a person. Since it is such a large museum. You can also buy a book offline to get more information, of the entire museum.
