Anno Domini calender
This is when the AD calendar was invented. This is important to History and the present day because it has became widely used across the world and helps date events in history. It also created a new system for counting the years in the world. The inventio was also important in the process of dating when Easter took place/when Jesus was reborn

Charlemagne Crowned emperor
Charlemagne being crowned emperor was possibly the most important event during the medieval times. This is because it reconstructed the Roman church which strengthened the relationship between the Western and Eastern parts of the empire, making Europe possible to be established. It also protected the popes papacy from the Eastern empire. This also gave Charlemagne equal power to the emperor in the East.

Norman Conquest
When William of Normandy became king, it started what was known as the Norman conquest. The Norman Conquest was important because it restructured the church with the induction of Norman Bishops. They also introduced the first iteration of castles; the Motte and Bailey castle. The Domesday book was because of the Norman conquest which is a book that contains the details of everything that everyone owns.

The Crusades
This is important to history because it started shifting people beliefs and religious power. The crusades also had many deaths, including innocent people. The crusades were also significant because they slowed the Muslim takeover of the country

Magna Carta
The magna carta was a very important piece of history. It was implemented so kings couldn't exploit their power. It also gave everyone the right to a fair trial, no matter their status. This prevented the king from exploiting his power.

The Hundred Years War
This event is significant in history because it increased the problem of a waning food supply in villages with food and resources going to the war effort. Another of the effects is that the Peasants were taxed constantly, leading to many revolts. It also transformed France into a national state.

The Black Death
This is a very important event in the Middle ages. This is due to the fact that it caused the crash of Europe's economy for a short term period. Another affect it had was that it killed many of the the peasants that worked for landowners which meant that many pieces of land had no one working on them. The plague also wiped out many towns, leaving nothing behind.

The printing press is invented
This changed Europe in many ways. It signaled the beginning of the renaissance era which is known for many of its technological and scientific advances. It also made documentation of events in the time possible. This made history able to be documented. It also made way for more inventions of this kind to be made

End Of Middle Ages
The end of the middle ages is significant in history because it started the Renaissance. The renaissance is significant because it was a time where humanism and philosophy became more prevalent and studied. It also the rise of new inventions which helped create the building blocks for the present day. The renaissance also saw many places like Italy and France grow into proper countries.
