I moved to Arizona in June of 2005. The day that we moved in it was 117 degrees. We moved here after my sisters graduated from high school. I was five at the time and they were seventeen.

Little did we know that when we moved there that there was no spanish emersion program. I had to spend my summer moving and learning to read and write in better english. I used hooked on phonics to learn to read better.

I started first grade at sunset hills elementry school. I was 5 years old and everyone else was six years old. I had a difficult time adjusting to a new place where I knoew next to no one. The only person I knew at the time was a close family friends daughter named Dominique who eventually signed a contract where she could only play with one group of friends at recess.

My parents would not let my sisters get emancipeted so that they could go to college. They had to wait about six months before they could move out. After that I was pretty much alone. ( One of my sisters with her two kids, me , my mother and my father.)

I did tap , then in my freshman year I took dance again in school. I learned history of different styles while also learning and doing jazz, ballet and modern while contuining tap. I sprained my ankle before my sophmore year and sprained my ankle and I havent really been able to dance since.

IN my 9th grade year I tried oboe for half a semester, and I tried tenor sax for a year in 7th grade. (picture of me and Dominique the day prior to winter concert)

I had been telling my parents that I wanted to play violin for a little while at the time, one day they said, "hey we have a surprise for you" and they had gotten me a violin. I have been taking lessons for it since that time and still continue to today. I had my first recital for it about two months ago.
