    I was born in a Subang Medical Hospital in Malaysia on Valentines Day. I was the second to be born into my family, after my older brother. This is significant because it marks the beginning of my life and developments to come.

  • The Birth of My Younger Sister

    The Birth of My Younger Sister
    A year after I was born, my parents gave birth to my sister. She was the last edition to the family., and the only girl sibling of us all. This is significant because it also introduced more responsibility to me since I was no longer just a younger sibling anymore, but now that I have become a bigger brother.
  • Entering into Kindergarten

    I attended Tadika Elementary School in Malaysia at the age of 4. The school was located near my house. It was the first time I would be getting education outside of home. This is significant to me since it was a new experience that I went through, that would help prepare me for the future. I had learned on how things worked in a school during this event.

    This is one of the most memorable events of my childhood since it gave me a scar on my forehead that still remains clear on my head today. At the age of seven, I had accidentally collided into a door in my house at full speed. This was the result of me and my brother playing a game which involves running around in the house. I was quickly driven to a nearby hospital and received some kind of stiching. Through this experience I became more careful of what I do and my surroundings.

    My family had decided to move to Canada so that we, the kids, may have a better education. It was sad time for me since I had to leave all of my friends in Malaysia. I was also a little bit exciting and anxious to see what the world is like outside of Malaysia. This foreshadowed the beginning of my new found life in Canada.

    After taking a while to temporary set into a home, my parents enrolled me into Chester Lee Public School in Scarbrough. I was very scared to see what Canadian kids are like. This was significant to me because it was the first time I had experience the higher education that I came to Canada for. I found that the kids here are no different that my classmates back in Malaysia, except maybe for the language.

    After a long search for churches in Canada, my family decided to settle into TCPC (Toronto Chinese Pentacostal Church). It was a very lively church. This was significant since it was the church that allowed my spiritual life to developt in Canada. I was able to see how the church works in Canada.

    I was batized on this day in my church. This signifies the "dying of oneself and becoming anew". It was a very important event in the religion of Christianity. I was baptized along with my my fellow church friends.
  • Grade 8 Graduation

    It finally came for me to graduate and leave Milliken Mills Public School. This was the public school that I had spent most of my Canadian childhood growing in. This was significant because it was the end of my adolescent days (in my opinion) and the introduction to a more responsible lifestyle. It was a melancholy day since it was one of the last days that I would spend together with my entire grade 8 class. We celebrated this event at a golf club.

    I went to Richmond Green Secondary School. It was a scary first experience since I barely knew anyone in this school, This is significant because it allowed me to make many new friends and become more of an individual. This day is the beginning of my journey into adulthood and the stepping stone to my future career.
  • Moving from Markham to Richmond Hill

    Moving from Markham to Richmond Hill
    After staying in Markham for my first few years in Canada, my family had decided to move to the community of Richmond Hill. This was a sad and exciting time in my life, since I will be attending a different highschool than most of my friends in Markham, but I was still anxious to see what life in Richmond Hill was like compared to Markham. This was a significant event because it resulted in me meeting the friends I have today in Richmond Green.

    My Trip to Malaysia/ Singapore
    My parents had planned to go on a vacation trip back to my homeland on this day. It has been seven years since I had last saw my friends, and now I get the chance to visit them again. It was a significant trip, because it allowed me to see the livestyle that I grew up in, since I had forgotten a bit. It was a nice trip down memory lane, and seeing my old friends was really nostalgic.
  • Broga Camp

    Broga Camp
    During my trip in Malaysia I got the chance to attend a camp with my old friends. This was an experience that changed my view on life. Since I had came from Canada I was very use to the clean and peaceful lifestyle, but this camp was the total opposite and very intense. We lived in a wild and issolated environment and did extreme activities such as "flying fox". This camp toughen me up both physically and mentally.
