    A Timeline of My Life

  • My First Day of School

    My First Day of School
My First day of school marked the beginning of my educational journey. This also began my journey of making friends that I will remember forever.
  • Going to Karachi, Pakistan for the first time

Going to Karachi, Pakistan for the first time
This was significant as through this trip, I had the opportunity to meet many family members. Though this trip occurred a very long time ago, I always will remember my visit to my parents' homeland.
  • The Blackout

    The Blackout
The Blackout of 2003 was significant for me as it was the first time I was part of a blackout. Being part of the blackout conquered my fear of the dark as I realized that being in the dark can be fun. During the blackout, I had fun with my family as I got to light candles and hold a flashlight evrywhere I went. My family and I had a lot of fun family time by playing board games and spending time with each other.
  • The Day My Cousin was Born

The Day My Cousin was Born
This was significant for me as on this day, my family expanded. A new member of the family was added and it was one of the happiest days of my life. I was able to take care of her and by doing so, I realized how much fun I could have with children. By playing with her and taking care of her, I realized how much I loved children and because of that, I have decided to go into the medical field of paediatrics.
  • Moving to Richmond Hill in Grade 6

Moving to Richmond Hill in Grade 6
When I moved to Richmond Hill, not only was I unfamiliar with the area, but I didn't know anyone nearby who could help me out, especially at school. Starting at a new school gave me the opportunity to meet new people, make new friends, and reinvent myself. I had to stop being a wallflower before I could meet new people and experience new things, which has helped develop the person I am today.
  • Going to Disney World in Florida for the First Time

Going to Disney World in Florida for the First Time
Going to Disney World was a fun and exciting experience. It was the first and the last time I ever went to Disney World, and through this trip, I had the ability to live out every child's dream. I hope that I will be able to go back to "the happiest place on earth", and I can only wish that my experience will be half as amazing as it was the last time.
  • Being a Lead Role in my Elementary School Play

Being a Lead Role in my Elementary School Play
Being a lead role in my elementary school play taught me to be confident and taught me that if I try hard enough, I can succeed at anything. Being a part of the school play also ignited my love for drama. I will never regret taking part in the production as it helped me become more outgoing and showed me a way to express myself not only with words, but with actions.
  • Living in Rhode Island with my Aunt and Uncle for 30 Days

Living in Rhode Island with my Aunt and Uncle for 30 Days
Living in Rhode Island with my aunt and uncle for 30 days without my parents was a life- changing experience for me. This was the first time I was without my parents for a long period of time. It taught me to be independent and it showed me how I would feel to live away from home. I have matured from my experience away from home and now I I have an understanding of how I would feel being away from home.
  • First Day of High School

    First Day of High School
Starting high school was a big step for me as I had more decisions to make for myself as well as more responsibilities. Unlike elementary school, there were an endless number of possibilities for my career path, such as multiple courses and clubs to take part in. Going into high school, I realized that I was in the big leagues now, and had to grow up quickly in order to keep up with the fast paced world of high school.
