My First Ever Vacation
I took my first vacation to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. This made a huge impact on my life because this was my first time travelling outside of Canada. I was able to experience plenty of culture and discovered how many others are living their lives. -
Getting my first dog
I got by dog named Tui on Christmas morning in 2011. This is very important to me because he was the first pet that I have ever had. I to learn how to feed him, walk him, and I had to spend time with him. This helped to shape me because I was able to learn how to take initiative and responsibility in order to care for him. -
Meeting my Granddad for the first time
In the summer of 2012 I met my grandad for the first time ever. This event was very important to me because I had never met my grandad before. My dad's side of the family is all from New Zealand so we were never able to meet and connect with his side of the family. When my my grandad visited us in the summer it was a very memorable occasion. -
Winning my first squash tournament
I won my first squash tournament in the 2014 season. This was important to me because I had put in plenty of hard work in preparation and it finally payed off. During these events I would usually come close to winning but I could never pull it off. After this moment I grew more confident because I learned to never give up -
Graduating Grade 8
Graduating grade 8 was a large milestone in my life because it began the next chapter in my school career. I was able to look back and reflect on my strengths and weaknesses in order to choose my path for high school. -
Getting my first job
In the summer of 2016 I was hired at Little Caesars Pizzeria. This was a very important to me because It was a huge learning experience as well as a large milestone. I experienced a workplace for the first time in my life and I learned what it’s like to be part of a business. -
Hawaii Trip
This trip was a big event in my life because It was the first time I met my cousins which are from New Zealand. This was very important to me because it was the first time I had met any of my cousins from my dad’s side of the family since he is from New Zealand. I was also able to experience the amazing nature and beaches that Hawaii has to offer which topped the trip off.
