  • I was Born

    Tehran, Iran
  • First Vacation

My family and I travelled to Dubai for my first vacation, which is a common place for people in Iran to go to. It is one of my favourite memories because I met one of my best friends there. She was my age and was there with her family as well. I swam in the beach for the first time, made sand castles, and collected seashells with her.
  • Moving from Tehran, Iran to Toronto, Canada

Moving to Canada was a very confusing time for me. I didn't really know what was going on, and I has a lot of culture shock when we came here. Tehran and Toronto are very different, and it was hard for me to understand anything because I couldn't speak English. Today, I am able to accept change and make the best of every situation because this happened to me at a very young age,
  • First Day of School

In the beginning, school was very hard for me. It took me a while to learn the customs, mainly because schools in Iran differ so much from the schools here. I caught on to the language very easily and things started to get easier as time passed. I learned how to persevere through difficult situations.
  • First Movie

    First Movie
Finding Nemo was the first movie I ever saw. It was a really cool experience because I remember being in awe of the cinema. I felt very small in the center of the huge theater, and I was so excited when the movie started playing. The screen was so large that I felt like I was underwater the whole time. It was a lot of fun!
  • Adopting My Cat

    Adopting My Cat
I recieved my cat as a birthday present, on the condition that I take care of him. I had to brush his hair, provide him with food and water, clean his litterbox, and play with him. I learned to be responsible by taking care of him.
  • Participating in an ISE

I went on a three month International Exchange Program to France. It was one of the most amazing things I have ever done. I experienced many new things. I got to go scuba diving, horseback riding, take boat rides through caves covered in jewels, and go to Disneyland Paris. Although I missed my family, I met so many nice and interesting people and also formed great relationships.
  • First Concert

    First Concert
My first concert was Beyonce's I Am...Sasha Fierce Tour. It was one of the most amazing experiences ever. I'm a huge Beyonce fan, so seeing her in person was surreal. She perferomed wonderfully; her voice, clothes and choreography was amazing and the whole show was very entertaining.
  • Going to New York

When my ISE partner came to Canada, she told us she had always dreamed of visiting NYC. When we went to Times Square, we were both amazed by the amount of life it had. There lights and people everywhere. We also visited the Statue of Liberty, and saw the Charging Bull. The people there were very interesting, and we met a lot of funny people. It was a fun experience for both of us!
