My parents would often tell me stories throughout the day -- after lunch, during free time, before going to bed. They taught me to turn to books when they didn't have enough time, or there was no one to tell stories to me. Picture books first, before moving on to the "harder" books.

We used to have a small box television in our old house. We didn't use it often. It was usually only ever out when our house helpers were watching the news or some Filipino drama show. I barely watched, if at all, but this was when I learned of its existence.
-
My mom got a Nokia phone, the ones they say are indestructible. My driver had one too, and it had fun games like bouncing a ball to escape, snake, and avoiding cars.
-
When we moved to my grandparent's house, they had stacks of CDs and DVDs in compartments underneath a much newer, sleek television set. This is how I got to know about Cartoon Network and other TV channels, since I had never watched television before then. I also hadn't watched movies from discs before either.
-
This was when I first experienced music being carried around in something so small! I never knew music could be carried around in a pocket item, and could be listened to anywhere, any time. My parents would play old songs like the Beatles and the Corrs, which I still listen to today.
-
I had never bothered to notice it before, but when I moved to our new house, we had to install a new telephone. I was really cool because there were two phones installed, and whoever spoke in one phone, you could hear in the other! I thought it was the perfect way to be a spy.

It was the first time I was introduced to laptops. My mom had to get one for her job, and I played lots of different games on it, and I had to use "internet" for that. I remember Club Penguin, TrollZ, the Cartoon Network official site, and several more that I would visit... until I accidentally spilled water on it and broke it.
-
We got a computer after the library in our new house was constructed. We bought a cool table for it and everything. We played many different games there, and me and my sister would use Paint to do lots of digital fanart.
-
My dad rode the trend of Apple, and got us an iPad. It was for sharing, so me and my sister fought over who would use it often. We downloaded a lot of games during this time, and also tried out the internet for the first time.
-
To complement our computer, we also got a printer! We didn't really need to print stuff back then, but my parents did, and I learned how they had used it. Sometimes, me and my sister would print pictures of our favorite characters too.
-
My close friends all had Nintendo DS game devices, and would play Pokemon. I really wanted one so I could play with them too, so I bugged my mom about it until she gave it to me as a birthday gift. Pokemon Black and White 2 had become my first ever Nintendo game.
-
When my mom and dad decided we were responsible enough -- or my sister, at least. He got her a phone. We decided to share it, but we couldn't download games and other stuff like that. I hardly used it, and only did so to write notes or call my parents. I barely browsed the internet on it, since I could use my iPad for that, but I did learn of different forms of social media.
-
I went over to my friend's house one time, and she had a WiiU there. It was the first time I had ever seen one, much less played with it, and so we had a coop game of some kind of Zelda (my first in the franchise) as well as some other Mario game I don't remember.
-
I never did get one, or experience one until a few years later, but I did first learn about it at this time. I remember searching up a lot about it since I really wanted it, until I learned the price it was at. This is around the time I started gaining a conscience so I didn't want to put a financial burden on my parents.
-
Although we never actually did get any smart devices, that is to say, gadgets like the Smart Watch and the Smart TV, I did learn about their existence from social media and other people.
-
I don't have one, but I'll probably get one if it's price drops a lot. A lot of people on the different websites I visit often online praise it and the games you could play there a lot. I hear Breath of the Wild is one of the best games ever.

Pokemon GO actually came out awhile back, nut actually experiencing it only happened at this time. This was when I downloaded an AR Wizarding World game, where you played as a wizard from the Harry Potter universe and unraveled a cool new mystery while casting spells.
