    Before The Big Move (Struggle)
I lived in Yonkers New York for quite some time in my early childhood. My Dad and my Mom were no longer together and I was in custody of my Dad. My Dad and Grandparents owned a deli and would work hard every day to make money saving up for me as well as them to have a better life. Living in a two-family house in Yonkers is not what my Dad and Grandparents wanted for me. I was always with them in the deli working. Everyone showed me so much love that's all I could ask for at that time in my life.
  • The Big Move (Surprise)

    The Big Move (Surprise)
When my Dad and Grandparents said to me that they have bought a new house with a pool I got so happy that my imagination went absolutely wild with questions. Is it small or is it a big house? No matter what I was extremely excited. To me living in a brand new house with a pool is all I wanted. I used to never go anywhere besides Yonkers, The Bronx, and New Rochelle so all I really knew was the city small home living but now I get to live in a new home in a whole new town.
  • Bingo Time (Success)

    Bingo Time (Success)
Back in elementary school, I took a class to learn English. I didn't know how to speak English that well because my parents didn't talk to me in English as much as they do now. I enjoyed going to that class every day. We didn't really do anything in that class but learn English spelling and speaking. The best part was Bingo time. Every day we played a game of Bingo. Whoever wins gets a prize. One day we were playing Bingo and I somehow won. I was so happy about it, I told my parents about it.

    3rd Grade (Failure)
When I was in third grade I thought the hardest thing to do was writing in script. Although I’ve encountered much harder things as years flew by, I still have difficulty writing in script. One week my teacher said that we have only 3 days until our test on writing in script. This made me worried. I knew my skills were lackluster and needed to be polished. Being a studious child I decided it would be best if I study. When the day came I failed miserably. I was very disappointed, I felt horrible.
  • Learning How To Dive (Funny)

    Learning How To Dive (Funny)
It was Summertime and school was out. I knew exactly what I was going to do. I was going to swim in my pool and have fun. I loved to jump off my diving board and do cannonballs. Grandpa wasn't very fond of the cannonballs because he was always tanning near the area where I was. One day I was going cannonball but my he stopped me and told me he's gonna teach me how to dive. My first attempt was straight garbage. I belly-flopped off the diving board because I hesitated. The pain felt unbearable.
  • Science Spelling Bee (Success)

    Science Spelling Bee (Success)
In my 7th grade science class, we had a spelling bee. This spelling bee was based on the subject of the topic we were currently learning about which was cells and their functions. My class got really competitive and it started to really get intense. Student against student, classmate against classmate. Me being really good at spelling got me far in the contest. It was the final round the teacher said my word "mitochondria." I spelled it right and won the spelling bee. I felt amazing after that.
  • First Time Working (Success)

    First Time Working (Success)
I was about 12 years old. It was Summer break. My Dad took me with him to work. My Dad owns Pregos Pizza in the Bronx. He would make me work by cleaning the tables, making pizza boxes, cleaning the litter outside, and working the fryer. I thought it was ok working there at the time. I enjoyed using the fryer and making pizza boxes. The main problem I had with working there was the fact that its all the way in the Bronx. After a week or so of working my Dad paid me. It felt so good to get paid.
  • I Thought I Was Going To Die (Fear)

I Thought I Was Going To Die (Fear)
It was Summer break. I was 13 years old. My parents told me that we were going to Lake Compounce. I was pretty excited. I heard my friends say it was fun. When we got there I made the decision to go ride this roller coaster called Boulder Dash. The ride didn't look that crazy but the thing went very fast. When I got on it I noticed something wrong. The bar in my seat wasn't holding me properly and when the ride started I felt like I can go flying out my seat. I really thought I was going to die.
  • **** GEOMETRY (Failure)

    **** GEOMETRY (Failure)
I had to take Geometry. I hated this class with a passion. At this point in my high school career, I wanted to just give up. I knew if I did that my parents wouldn't agree so I still somewhat tried and got mediocre grades. I could never really understand geometry so most of the quizzes and tests we took I failed horribly. We had to take this really hard test midyear. I studied hard for it. When the time came my mind went blank and the proof formulas could not come to my head so I took the loss.
  • Criminal Justice Quiz (Failure)

    Criminal Justice Quiz (Failure)
Last year I took Criminal Justice. Every week had an open note vocab quiz. In the first week, Mr. Wood told us we would have a quiz on vocab words we wrote definitions on. I decided that the quiz won't be hard and I'd get an easy 100. When it came time for the quiz I had not finished my vocab definitions. That's when he said it was an open note quiz. Then I thought wow I should've done it. When I started it, this quiz had to be the most difficult vocab quiz ever, and I saw I failed with 35%.
