Tenison with Britain was high when James Maddison took office in 1809. The Americans were very angry with Briatin for giving the native americans guns in the northwest. In 1810 two nationalms John c . calhoun and Henry Clay Kentucky, they both became leaders in the House of Represntatives. -
War Hawks Take Power
Clay and Coulhan always wanted to go to war with britain, people came up with the name of war hawks for those people who want to go to war with britain. Many poeple thought that if they went into war with briatin it would hurt the trade between america and britian. -
