    Madison thought that a war with England was inevitable so he sent a war message to congress.
  • Congress votes yes for war

    Repuublicans in states with big populations are able to get enough votes to vote for war.
  • USA declares war on Britan

  • Battle of Michilimackinac

    A bloodless battle where the USA retreated quickly after Tecumseh cut off there supplies.
  • Battle of Queenstown

    First major battle of the war. Decisive victory for the British.
  • Battle of Thames River

    British victory.
  • Battle of Blandesburg

    Huge victory for the British. US militia ran away before firing a shot. British then marched on Washington D.C and burned the White House, although the preident was not there as he had fled.
  • Battle of New Orleans

    The USA's biggest victory of the war. After the war was over but the generals never got that message.
  • War ends

    War ends even though peace had been agreed upon earlier the battle of New Orleans kept it going.
