  • The American Revolution (Historical)

    The American Revolution (Historical)
The reason why the American Revolution had such an impact on me as a person is because of how the U.S. overcame odds hugely stacked against their favor. It is importatnt to me because it teaches me to be grateful for those who fought for our freedom. It also teaches me not only because someone (or in this case an army) has an advantage over you, you can still come out on top and victorious.
  • Earl Lloyd's First NBA Game (Historical)

Earl Lloyd's First NBA Game (Historical)
The reason why this event is important to me is that it marked a day in which two races were joined together on a very sacred ground- the basketball court. The event itself is a lesson because it taught me that people can come together over very simple things, like sports. Now, because Earl Lloyd was the first black NBA player, he made the rules change for letting black people now be able to play ball.
  • Mackinac Bridge Construction (Historical)

    Mackinac Bridge Construction (Historical)
Recently, I have taken an interest in the construction of the Mackinac Bridge. Mainly because of the countless hours of work that went into the building process. The reason why it has had such an impact on me is that of the laborers and how hard they had to work day in and out, to show that efficiency over long periods of time can lead to masterpeices.
  • First Middle School Basketball Game (Personal)

First Middle School Basketball Game (Personal)
This event is very important to me because it was the first game of organized basketball, and it's very important to me. The reason being it was my first time playing for a crowd, and for a team. This made me have a better appreciation and understanding of team sports.
  • Learning About Edgar Allen Poe (Literary)

Learning About Edgar Allen Poe (Literary)
From a literary perspective, Edgar Allan Poe has had a tremendous impact on my style of writing and composing literature. His stories interested me because I felt his emotion being poured out into his writing. He has changed who I am because he has allowed me to impliment more feeling and imply more emotional contexts in my own work.
  • Moving To Saint Joseph (Personal)

    Moving To Saint Joseph (Personal)
Moving to Saint Joseph (which is on the west side of Michigan) had a huge turning point in my life. Seeing what life is like living on Lake Michigan gave me a lot of perspective on schools, housing, and overall life. Now that I moved back I now know two different sides of Michigan and has made me a more open minded person when it comes to where I want to live.
  • Cedar Point (Personal)

    Cedar Point (Personal)
Cedar Point was a very fun experience, and mainly it taught me about bravery. Seeing extremely tall and winding roller coasters was enough to scare me already. However, riding them was a whole nother level of fear. Once I worked up enough courage to ride one, I knew that inside I was a lot stronger than I thought I was.
  • First NBA Basketball Game (Personal)

    First NBA Basketball Game (Personal)
This event is important to me because it gave me a lot of perspectives. I play a little bit of basketball, and sometimes my competition can be hard enough. However, watching two professional teams play against each other taught me the importance on how hard you work when it comes to playing against better players.
  • Overnight Basketball Camp (Personal)

     Overnight Basketball Camp (Personal)
The reason why Saint Mary's overnight basketball camp is a key event in my life is for two reasons. One being how much fin the college expeirience is, and how hard I need to work in order to know the full thing. The other reason being the physicall aspects of the camp, and how hard I need to work when it comes to doing excersises that require a lot of strength.
  • First Drive (Personal)

    First Drive (Personal)
This event had a major role in my observational skills. My first drive taight me a lot about seeing the road in front of me and making desicions based on my surroundings. This event has taught me to be very mindful and cautious when the time is needed, and not just for driving but for other things too.
