Babur dies and the new successor is his son Humayun.

Although the nobles wanted to put Humayun' uncle, Mahdi Khwaja, as the new ruler, Humayun end up becoming the new ruler.

Sher Shah Suri , the leader rival of the Sur Dynasty, exile's Humayun out of India and takes control. However, during his exile he takes refuge with Safavid rulers, from Persia. The refuge strengthens the relations between the two dynasties.

Once both Sher Shah Suri and his son and successor dies, Humayun takes this advantage to restore his power. With the help of the Persians including Bairam Khan as their leader, the manage to restore the Mughals' power.

shortly after he restores power, Humayun dies by tripping and falling and on a flight of stairs while carrying books. He suffers severe injuries and dies three days later. As a result, Humayun's son, Akbar takes his place.

The Sur Dynasty goes back to the Mughal empire to overthrow again but, under Bairam Khan, the Mughal Army defeats the Surs and solidifies Akbar's power.

With the help of his mother and supporters, Akabar strips Bairam Khan of the regency, and is later assassinated during his trip to Mecca. Once Akabar takes complete control ,he is developed trade with Europe, a strong system of administration, and a strong and growing economy.

Jahangir, Akbar's oldest son, leads a revolt against his father to become the next successor. Although he is defeated , he gains support from the harem Women, which helps him become a successor.

Because of the support from the Harem Women, Jahangir becomes a successful emperor.

Jahangir dies on his way back from a visit to Kashmir and his third son, Shah Jahan becomes the new emperor.

In memory of his third wife, Mumtaz Mahal, Shah Jahan constructs this white marble mausoleum .

Shah Jahan becomes ill and his son, Dara Shikoh, takes over temporarly.

Dara Shikoh's younger brother, Aurangzeb, rebels and defeats his brother. He then sends him to be executed. He also imprisons his father after he gets better. However, as he is expanding the empire, things go down hill from there. This leads to the beginning of the decline of the empire.

Aurangzeb's son, Shah Alam, succeeds his father and tries to fix the problems that his father has caused. However, it was to late to do so, and throughout the empire, violence and chaos erupted.

the British East India Company takes over the Empire and Bahadur Shah Zafar leads a revolt against them. However, the East India Company defeats the Mughals and takes complete control which leads to the end of the Mughal Empire.
