Babur's son Humayun gains the throne. They tried to put Humayun's uncle as a ruler but they weren't able to.

Sher Shah Suri leader of the rivals drives Humayun out of power and out of India and he seizes power.

Taking advantage that Sher Shah Suri and his successor are dead, he takes an army from his Persian allies and goes back to India to retake power.

Shortly after retaking power, Humayun trips and falls down the stairs. He gets injured and dies three days later.

After his fathers death, Humayun, Akbar succeeds his father.

The Sur dynasty attempts to seize power once again. The Mughal army defeats the Surs.

Under his mother and other supporters guidance Akbar strips Bairam Khan from the regency, and while traveling to Mecca Khan got assassinated.

Akbar's oldest son Jahangir leads a revolt against his father. He is defeated but still has support to be the successor.

Jahangir becomes Akbar's successor by getting support from the harem women.

Jahangir dies on his way back from a trip and is succeeded by his third son Shah Jahan.

Shah Jahan builds the Taj Mahal in memory of his third wife.

Shah Jahan becomes ill and his son Dara Shikoh rules for him. Dara's younger brother Aurangzeb allies with Islamic groups to oppose Dara Shikoh.

Aurangzeb defeats Dara Shikoh and executes him. He imprisons Shah Jahan because Aurangzeb says Jahan is unfit to rule again. The empire starts to become unstable.

Son of Aurangzeb, he succeeds him and tries to fix his father's errors but it's a little bit too late. The empire turns into chaos after his death and the empire starts to fall.

The British East India Company claims the Mughal Empire. Bahadur Shah Zafar, ruler of the Mughal empire at that time leads a revolt against them. Bahadur is defeated and the Mughal empire is ended.
