Date of Birth
I was born in late August, 1996. Gladwell would say that since my birthday is late, I would have major disadvantages in life. However, I never felt at a disadvantage because of it. I was always the shortest and smallest of the class, yet that doesn't play a big role in my chances for success. -
Cultural Heritage
I have German and Italian roots and as Gladwell states, Europeans tend to be lazy people who don't work hard. I disagree and feel that my ancestors have given me inspiration and motivation to push myself. My grandpa was a successful lawyer from Germany so that proves to me that Gladwells belief in lazy Europeans is false. -

Time Period - 21st Century
I was born into a time period of rapid change in technology. I grew up around computers and new "high-tech toys." I feel that this is an advantage because of the knowledge that comes along with being exposed to the new technology rather than having to learn it all. Gladwell may disagree and think that it is better to be born at the very start of a major invention, however I see it differently. -

Overview of Grosse Pointe
I was born in Grosse Pointe and have lived here all my life. It is a smaller, suburban city full of small businesses and great schools. Grosse Pointe is known for thier excellence in the education system so that gives me an oppurtinity to learn from the best teachers and curriculum available. Gladwell would agree that this gives me an advantage in life to achieve success. -

Dance
My Dance StudioThis is my eleventh year doing dance since I was just three years old. As Gladwell points out, it is essential to get in about 10,000 hours to achieve maximum success. I have experienced improvement and believe that dance has proved his 10,000 hour theory to be true to me.
