    James Hargreaves created the Spinning Jenny in 1754. The Spinning jenny spun cotton, like the Cotton Gin, but had the same motion of human fingers. It was able to spin eight threads at once, which made work a lot quicker. i could weave many differnent fabrics, which was more then women can do. It could also spin yarn and wool, also.
  • The Cotton Gin

    Eli Whitney invented the Cotton Gin. The Cotton Gin made harvasting Cotton a lot easier. Before the Cotton Gin, people were lucky if they cleaned a pound of cotton each day. With the Cotton Gin, there was 50 pounds of Cotton cleaned each day. The econmy became really good because of the profit of the cotton. The United States became powerful because of this invention.

    They saw that just not one person invetned the sewing machine. Barthelemy Thimonnier is one person who they say has invetned the sewing machine. The machine was mainly built to make clothes not by hand. Clothing manufactors used the sewing machine the most. The people in the Industrial Revolution thought that sewing by a needle and a hand would not be a popualr or strong industy.

    The inventor of the light bulb was Thomas Edison in Menlo Park, New Jersey. The purpose of the light bulb is so that we could see things at night, as well as we could have seen them during the day. Now we can see in dark places, and places with no windows.
