  • Nick Moves to west egg (chapter1)

    Nick moves next door to Gatsby, he lives in west egg. This is how he will meet Gatsby.
  • Valley of the ashes. (chapter 2)

    Nick and Tom go to the valley of the ashes. this is significant because it shows the differnce between higher and lower social classes.
  • Gatsbys party (Chapter 3)

    Nick gets an invitation to Gatsbys party. he meets him for the first time and he learns that he is kind of mysteriouse in terms of where he came from.
  • Gatsby and Nick go for lunch (chapter 4)

    Nick goes with Gatsby to lunch. Gatsby tells nick about where he came from and how he got here. its important because Nick is hesitant to believe Gatsby and they go to a speak easy.
  • Tea time (chapter 5)

    Gatsby asks Nick to invite Daisy his long lost lover to tea at nicks house. He doesnt want to tell Daisy so it will be a surprise, they meet for the first time and rekindle their love.
  • Dan cody (chapter 6)

    We find out where Gatsby really came from. Dan Cody is who got him into the bootlegging buisness, This is important because we now know that he wasnt really old money.
  • Gatsby and Tom (chapter 7)

    Gatsby meets Daisy's daughter for the first time and TZom realizes that they are in love with eachother. Gatzby made Daisy say she never loved Tom so they could be together again but she goes back on her word, when all is said and done Gatsby and Daisy leave and Myrtle is ran over by his car.
  • revenge. (chapter 8)

    George wilson finds out about "Gatsby's"accident that killed Myrtle when it was really Daisy. Wilson seeks revenge and Kills Gatsby then shoots himself. this is important because it shows how carless and irresposible Daisy really was.
  • nobody. (chapter 9)

    After gatsbys death, Tom and Daisy skip town. Nick is left to decide what to do with Gatsby. His father arrives and Nick does his best to round up anybody who will come to the funeral. Nobody will show. this shows that even though people used Gatsby for his parties Gatsby had no true friends. Shows that money isnt going to buy you happyness.
