Tennis Court Oath
The Tennis Court Oath was a commitment to a national constitution and representative government, taken by delegates at the Estates-general at the Versailles. 577 deputies took an oath administered by Jean-Sylvain Baily and hastily written by Emmanuel Sieyes. National Assembly Formed

The Storming of the Bastille
On July 14, around dawn, a large crowd armed with muskets, swords, and other homemade weapons gathered around the Bastille. Constitutional Monarchy

In 1794, France's soldiers had a great deal of success over their enemies, therefore the Terror was no longer necessary. But Robespierre kept the Terror going because he intended to rid France of all the corrupt people.
