The Essential Events of My Life

  • Birth

    Birth
I was born on August 24, 1999 in Columbia, MD. I was two weeks late. Because of this, my family often jokes about how I'm always late to everything. Obviously, without my birth I wouldn't exist, making it an extremely important event in my life.
  • Visited Paris

    Visited Paris
I went to Paris for my tenth birthday. I did many new things, such as visiting museums and riding subways. I was made aware that the world is more than just English and America. It's an important moment when a child realizes things like this.
  • Met The Gummybears

    Met The Gummybears
I met my two old best friends when I moved to Yorkville. Their names were Kayla and Sara, but eventually we began to refer to ourselves as the gummy bears. We spent many nights watching movies and tv shows, pigging out on junk food, and being our crazy, random selves.
  • Moved for The First Time

    Moved for The First Time
I moved to Yorkville, Illinois in the middle of fifth grade. Moving for the first time was extremely difficult and frustrating. However, at my new school I learned how to open a locker and I learned that friends don't stay friends forever.
  • Moved...Again.

    Moved...Again.
I moved to Sandwich in seventh grade. I adored Yorkville and Sandwich was the home of a large amount of drama and pain. I broke up with my then boyfriend; my first love, as strange as it sounds. But I met some people who definitely improved my life.
  • Visited Washington DC

    Visited Washington DC
I visited Washington DC on a school field trip during eighth grade. This is the place where I first began developing depression. It was a nice experience, but instead of taking photos and enjoying myself like I should have I spent the time wallowing in misery.
  • Moved to Arizona

    Moved to Arizona
I moved to Arizona right before high school began. I left behind a best friend and several good friends as well as nice weather. I despised the heat of Arizona and I still do. The high school was hateful and filled to the brim with drama and drugs. However, it was my life for two years.
  • Met a Girl Named Kat

My friend Kat was a terrible person, and still is. Although I truly dislike her and never speak to her, it was through her that I met my girlfriend. She introduced me to a person named Mary who then set us up, and I think having this friendship was an important part of my life. I learned to stand up for myself and I met my lovely girlfriend.
  • Met my Girlfriend

    Met my Girlfriend
I have been dating my girlfriend for a year now. Although most consider it ridiculous or naive, she is the person I intend to move out with. And even if she isn't, it's the longest relationship I've been in and she's my world.
  • Started College!

    Started College!
Beginning college is a major event in my life. Cosmetology is the career I intend to pursue for the majority of my life. It's something I'm passionate about and interested in. I think it will be a vital and memorable experience for me.
