The Creation

4000 BCE

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Starting in Genesis 1. The earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. God created woman, and he created man.

The Great Flood

2500 BCE

The LORD then said to Noah, "Go into the ark, you and your whole family, because I have found you righteous in this generation.Take with you seven pairs of every kind of clean animal, a male and its mate, and one pair of every kind of unclean animal, a male and its mate, and Noah did all that the LORD commanded him.

The Covenant Of The Rainbow

2500 BCE

"God blessed Noah and his sons, saying to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the earth." Everything that lives and moves about will be food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you everything.
I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth. I will remember my covenant between me and you and all living creatures of every kind. Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life.

Job's Suffering and Faith

In the land of Uz, there was a man whose name was job. This man was blameless, he feared God and shunned evil.

Exodus Begins

The LORD said to moses, "Consecrate to me every firstborn male. The first offspring of every womb among the Israelites belongs to me, whether human or animal. "Then Moses said to the people, "Commemorate this day, the day you came out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery, because the LORD brought you out of it with a mighty hand. Eat nothing containing yeast. Today, in the month of Aviv, you are leaving.

Moses Receives The Commandments (Exodus 20)

God spoke all these words, "I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. "You shall have no other gods before me, you shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below."
You shall not murder, you shall not commit adultery, you shall not steal, you shall not lie.

Ministry Of Jesus

In the Christian gospels, the ministry of Jesus begins with his baptism in the countryside of Roman Judea and Transjordan, near the river Jordan, and ends in Jerusalem, following the Last Supper with his disciples. The Gospel of Luke (3:23) states that Jesus was "about 30 years of age" at the start of his ministry.

Temptation of Jesus

Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. The tempter came to him and said, "If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread." Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.'"

Birth of John the Baptist

Birth of Jesus

Jesus was born in Bethlehem to Mary and Joseph. Baby Jesus was lying in a Manger.

Crucifixion Of Jesus

Jesus was arrested, sentenced pontius pilate and to be crucified by the romans, Jesus was stripped of his clothing and offered wine mixed with gall to drink, before being crucified. He was then hung between two convicted thieves and according to Mark's Gospel, died some six hours later.

Death of Jesus

In Mark 15:25, crucifixion takes place at the third hour (9 a.m.) and Jesus' death at the ninth hour (3 p.m.). However, in John 19:14 Jesus is still before Pilate at the sixth hour.

The Resurrection

On the 3rd day he rose from the dead (easter)
In the New Testament, after the Romans crucified Jesus, he was anointed and buried in a new tomb by Joseph of Arimathea but God raised him from the dead and he appeared to many people over a span of forty days before he ascended into heaven, to sit at the right hand of God. The Passion. Easter Weekend. Holy Week. Ash Wednesday.

Jesus Promises The Holy Spirit

"All this I have told you so that you will not fall away. They will put you out of the synagogue; in fact, the time is coming when anyone who kills you will think they are offering a service to God. They will do such things because they have not known the Father or me. I have told you this, so that when their time comes you will remember that I warned you about them. I did not tell you this from the beginning because I was with you.

The Last Supper

Jesus sat down at the table with his disciples before he leaves, jesus explains that he will leave and be crucified, you will betray me. Jesus took the bread and said, "this is my body broken for you, eat and remember me." He took the Covenant and said, "this is my blood, poured out for you, remembrance of me."
