AOL Instant Messenger was created
AOL instant messenger (AIM) was the first online tool that I used to talk to my friends. You could make away messages and profiles that your friends could see and instantly message your friends from different computers. -
First Blackberry released
The first ever blackberry phone was released. A blackberry was one of the first phones where you could receive internet and check your emails. Back in the day everyone had a blackberry but now only makes up 3% of the mobile sales around the world. All of my friends had a blackberry before I even had a phone and now I look back at it and laugh because blackberyys are practically extinct. -
PlayStation 2 was released
My frist gaming consol was a playstation 2. It was where my siblings and I bonded and fought over pointless video games. It was the first consol that got my family into gaming before the other consols were created. -
Gamecube released to the public
The gamecube is by far my favorite gaming console to play on. It's literally a cube that is made for video games, made by nintendo. My favorite games to play on it were anything that had to do with Mario, especially Mario Kart. My siblings and I would spend hours playing against eachother and fighting on which game we should play next. This is an instant classic and deifinitely the highlight of my childhood. -
The first ipod was released
The first ipod came out in this year. An ipod is an MP3 player that holds a numerous amount of songs on a small device that you can take with you anywhere and plug into speakers or headphones. My first ever ipod was the ipod nano first generation that I took with me everywhere and had every song under the sun on that one little device. -
Facebook was created
This was the first social network that I started using in about middle school and took up the majority of my time. It linked me to all of my friends and even to friends and family who I normally didn't see too often who I wanted to keep in contact with. -
Twitter was created
Twitter is the social media that I use in my life the most. It is a social media sight where people constantly make statuses and say whatever they want. I use this sight a lot to see what my friends are up to and get information about what is happening in the world right now. -
Instagram was created
Instagram is another social media sight where people share and like pictures. I have only recently made an account with instagram about a month ago and rarely use it. However, I know it takes up great amounts of time from my friends and family. -
Snapcaht came out
Snapchat is an app where you can take pictures and videos and send them to your friends for a set period of time (1-10 seconds) and then they go away forever. This app is just another way of communicating with your friends. Snaps are hilarious and one of my favorite ways of communicating. -
Iphone 5C introduced
The iphone 5c was and still is my first ever smart phone. It's just a normal iphone that can do anything that the past iphones could do but now comes in color and is plastic instead of medal. Also, the screen is a tad bigger than the past iphones. It took me years to finally convince my parents to let me have a smartphone and now i spend the majority of my time on it texting, facetiming, playing games, and checking social media. -
