    Summersky's Lifetime

  • Visit to South Korea

I was only an infant and have no memory of this but my parents told me that was the first time I went to Korea as a 1-year old.
  • California

I lived in Fullerton, California for a short time and I have a faint recollection of being at the beach and playing in the sand with this green-handled shovel.
  • Almost Fatal

It was a Sunday morning, speeding on the dusty, bare Texas highways. I turned towards my mother to ask for my bottle of orange juice. My little brother and I were getting fidgety, sitting in the backseat of the truck on this roadtrip. My mother reaches for the orange juice but the truck spins out of control, a swirl of dust making anything impossible to see around us. We skid to a stop, all alive and well. I'm thankful to survive that almost fatal accident back then as a young girl.
  • The move

I was 3 or 4 years old, a distant memory, too young to recall what happened but I'd grown up my entire short life in the heat of Arizona. The scene, as clear as it could be after a dulling decade, I lay on the carpet of our new home. It was empty and bare and very cold. I curled up on the ground with my favorite childhood blanket and fell asleep to the bustle of my burdened parents unpacking our furniture from the ABF trailer.
  • I'm a big sister?

I was only 5, I believe, when I found myself in a hospital, peering over the glass to see the little newborn. The little one was still and sleeping and I was overwhelmed with joy and curiosity. What was it like to be a big sister? Now that I look at it, it was one of the best and worst things to happen to me. I think I will be grateful when I am older and have a sister to experience and share lives with.
  • Drowning

My big brother almost drowned because he passed out in a pool with a goggle on.
  • Sad times

I don't often talk about this but I guess my life isn't very eventful so I'll share a little with you. Back in 6th grade, I was with the wrong friends and I felt like everything was going wrong. I became depressed and began this path of self-destructive behavior. I didn't want to live anymore and did things I shouldn't have but I am well and better now thanks to my loving parents.
  • Spontaneous Vacation

An unplanned vacation popped up and I went to visit my cousins from Korea I'd never met before. We stayed in Port Aransas, Texas by the beach and had lots of fun. After that, we drove to Arizona, also a surprise and visited my American grandparents. I also got to be with my sister from another mister who is my father's best friend's daughter. On the way back home, we dropped by one of my father's old hunting partners and I believe it was the best vacation of my life.
  • Honduras

I went to Honduras for the first time on a mission trip with my father and brother.
  • PETS!

I'd never had a pet until this summer. Because of the coronavirus, I decided I wanted to keep busy and started my own little farm. We ordered 16 ducks (1 male and 15 female) from an online hatchery and got 24 chickens (all female). Although, 2 of our chickens passed away. I got 4 rabbits, 2 male and 2 female and around September 5, I believe one of them is giving birth! I started a garden too and have been growing herbs, fruits, and vegetables.
