    Civil War

    This is when the First Sudanese Civil War has begun. This was a conflict from 1955 to 1972 between the northern part of Sudan and the southern part which demanded more regional autonomy and more representation because they were not feeling that they have much of a voice in big/small decisions. Many people died for the past 17 years of the war which was a tragic.
  • Spread Through

    The Civil war spread to Southern Sudan with the the Anyanya separatist movement ascendence.Many people were killed in this incident which was really bad
  • The Governor of Khartoum

    The Governor of Khartoum
    The Governor of Khartoum banned women to work in public place. A report from Sudan states that the rule suspended at the end of 2001. The State of the U.S department reported that the discussion of the ban did not take place and the ban wasn't enforced during 2001. Many claim that some employers dismissed women from their jobs as a result of the ban.

  • War in Darfur

    War in Darfur
    The War in Darfur began on February 2003, when the Sudan Liberation Movement and other groups began fighting against the government of Sudan. which they accused of by suppressing Darfur's non-Arab population. The government responded by campaigning over ethnic cleansing against Darfur's non-Arab community.The war ended up killing millions of people in Sudan.

    Flash Floods started to ruin and devastate many parts of the Sudan including Darfur and others.

    The time were Sudan has finally achieved independence on July 9, 2011.The outcome of the peace deal that began in 2005, ended the longest Sudanese Civil War.
