Story of My Life

  • My birth

    My birth
My mom told me that I was lucky to be born in the U.S., she felt deep down that I would amount to something great. I was a little bigger than the other babies weighing 9 pounds. I was an ecstatic and cheerful baby, never missing the opportunity to put a smile on my moms face, even on the saddest of days.
  • I met my best friend Brian

I met my best friend Brian
I was playing with my little brother, superheros (the usual kids stuff), when from above a wall poked out someones head, Brian. Me and my brother were kinda jerks so we stole Brian's toys (little did we know that he was also doing the same), by the end of the week he had all my toys and I his. We made a truce and gave back each others belongings, I didn't know why, for some strange reason, I liked this kid, this kid would later become my best friend.
  • I cut my elbow

    I cut my elbow
I was playing hide-and-seek with my little brother, when I decided to hide behind a lazy-boy, behind that chair was a windshield that I sliced my elbow with. I felt no pain until I looked down at my arm to see streams of blood fall down, at that moment I screamed to the tippy-top of my lungs until my mom can running in a panic. She grabbed a half liter bottle full of alcohol and poured it right on my arm, the pain was like nothing I've ever felt in my whole seven-year- old-life.
  • I got accepted into AVID

    I got accepted into AVID
My heart was pounding with excitement as I entered the middle school classroom decorated with green and yellow streamers. I saw the faces of others that were also plagued with fear and anxiety, I felt a little better about myself. I shook my teachers hand with my clamy hand, she could tell I was nervous (the sweat kinda gave it away), she came in close and said that I had taken the first positive step in the rest of my life.
  • My parents split up

    My parents split up
I was sad, my heart felt like it was falling in a dark abyss that had nothing but despair at the bottom. It was hard to come to grips with the situation, I tried so hard to think that everything that was happening was not real, but it was. At that point I realized that amount of work my dad did for us, I never really told him thank you, I guess it's true what they say, "you don't know what you have until it's gone".
  • I got a stepdad

    I got a stepdad
He was harsh and I didn't really like him. But I respected him for what he did, most people wouldn't take in a whole family. I could never call him dad, but I respected him and that was enough for me and him.
  • I learned to ride a skateboard

I learned to ride a skateboard
As I road down the black sea of asphalt I felt one with the road, the wheels made a "whooshing" noise as they sliced through the air. Each step forward helped me get away farther and farther away from the problems that haunted me, nothing and nobody mattered, everything was complete and utter bliss. As I went down the road all my stress turned into fuel to help combust my legs into pushing myself farther down the black road.
  • I learned how to landscape with my stepdad

I learned how to landscape with my stepdad
The lawnmower was heavy, ear-splitting, and dangerous. I ran back and forth, up and down, lawn after never-ending lawn, until the sun unmasked a red blanket above the sky. I gazed at its once blue image with complete amazement, as sweat ran down my head onto my chest, the slight breeze made everything feel below 30 as my body absorbed it. I was hot, tired, and in pain but I couldn't help but smile knowing I made it through the day.
  • My little brother was born

    My little brother was born
He was a bit ugly when he was born, but then again aren't all babies ugly when their born. He had the smallest eyes that I have ever seen and they were so innocent. He came into this world with open arms, I promised myself that I would always try to look out for him and helped him when ever he needed it.
  • I went behind the wheel for the first time

I went behind the wheel for the first time
The wheel felt velvety soft as I griped my sweaty hands on it. My heart was beating so fast and hard that I could feel it in my face! As I turned the key the engine roared as if it was a caged up beast waiting to be unleashed! As I hit the gas the whole world around me felt smaller, just waiting for me to make a wrong move. The tires crunched as they turned on the fine gravel. Driving down the street my eyes were dead set on the road and had no intention of looking in any other direction.
