The Tiananmen Square was where people were attacked and killed for protesting. This movement was ordered by Deng Xiaoping in his attempt to stop the protesting. By the end many people died and the people who made it out alive left, not wanting the same fate for themselves as well. The point of these protest was for the people to protest what they felt was Chinese Government Corruption. This made the Chinese population and government power decrease, causing in the end only bad to the government.
