    the Dutch take over South Africa for colonialism in 1653 for slavery and forced labor. some had liked the idea of them not needing to depend on eachother for a wealthy country, some had liked engaging with europeans, but to many their freedom had been taken away.

    the dutch had taken over in 1653 for forced labor and slavery. lots of these slaves were brought into the cape colony. many colonies had desinigrated due to not taking charge with the dutch.

    the dutch traveled to the cape and had been forced to look other places for their labor wishes. and a year later the dutch had been granted their land, so on the day of 1658 literally so many slaves had been imported to the cape and the number of slaves had outnumbered colonials by 3 to 1. many of these slaves were sold that day.

    when the british took rule over the cape the South-East africa became the main source of slavery and the numbers of slaves had increased to 14,500.

    in the Treaty of Amiens the british had surrendered their rule over the cape to the dutch once more.

    during the Nepoleonic war the British had reclaimed the cape, where the cape had became an essential base for the British.

    in the 1820's a large group of British settlers had arrived in Africa, which lead to a high European birth rate, and the British destroying colonial land, and even a land shortage.

    in 1824 the colonies had to begin change, dutch had been switched out for english, dutch currency had been replaced with english currency. then the british had started appointing colonial governers. they had also been taught christianity and encouraged baptism. slaves were able to get married, and rules had became a lot more strict.

    in 1934 South Africa enacts the Status of The Union Act which means South Africa had declared their country to be a sovereign state.
