From my birth to toddler years my family had a tremendous affect on who I am. My parents taught me many important things but one of the most important is how to walk. Walking is one of the basic functions of life, without walking life may be very difficult. I was taught to walk in my parents house, by my parents. Walking is still a life long ability that I use today and will continue to use through out my life. Without walking my life would be completly different.

My schooling as a toddler was going to day care. At the day care they would teach me basic life lessons like sharing. The day care would teach me to share the toys with the othetr kids. THis is important because sharing is a life lesson that everyone needs to know. At the time it didn't seem like something that was important but after awhile it made sense why it was important.

As a baby through toddler years one of my mass media presences was the show Teletubbies. Acourding to the Teletubbies website the goal of Teletubbies was to elp the viewers be able to talk better and easier. That show may have helped me learn to speak which is very important. Speaking is something that you need to be able to do everyday and even if this show helped just a little it still is a difference.

My mom ran a day care at our house when I was younger. Becasue of this I was able to react with other children. I was very young so I may not have been knowing what I was doing but Iwas still watching what they were doing. After watching them interact it gave me an idea of how kids are supposed to behave. After this I treid to mimik them and what they did, not knowing if it was wrong or not. Those kids may have positivley affected me or negatively affected me.

Potty training teaches many important qualities. It teaches you to be independent and to take care of yourself. My parents taught me this because of these qualities. These qualities are still uses in my life today, that is what makes them so important. Potty training is another basic necessity of life, it is important that my parents taught me this.

Pre-school is whre I learned things frdom my toddler to school age. At the pre-school they taught me many things, but one of the most important is being polite. One of the ways that they did this was teach body basics. They taught body basics by telling us what to do. I temember getting ready for story time and having to sit criss cross apple sauce. Even though body basics aren't extremely important it had a hidden ciriculum of teaching how to be polite.

From toddler to school afe I went to pre-school. At this pre-school I was able to interact with other children, knowing what I was doing. Being around all of the kids taught me how to interact with all of the other kids. The pre-school helped in this by setting up group activities to force you to interact with other kids. While we thought we were doing tis to have fun we were actually being taught something very important.

I remember when I was a toddler my parents would watch the news quite often. On the news they would obviously tell news events but also there would be debates. There were debates becuase there was going to be a recent presidental election. Becasue I was a toddler I was able to understand what was said so during the debates what they said would shape my ideas about certain things. It was the only ideas about the topic that I knew so I thought that they must have been right.

During elementary school my parents helped teach me what a good work ethic is. This is important because having a good work thic will help you succeed in life. The way that my parents would teach me was through my homework. They would make me do it right when I got home and not to keep putting it off. An example that I remember is going home and eating a snack then being told that I need to do my homework. If I wasn't taught the work ethic I would be more lazy then I am now.

When you go to school for the first time is may be overwhelming. The teachers at my elementary school knew this and then tried to help. The way that they tried to help was by trying to help me be organized. We had desks instead of binders and I remember the daily desk checks. If your desk wasn't organized then you would have to clean it. Being organized is something that I still use today and will continue to use it.

The biggest influence of mass media during my elementary school years is tv shows. On these tv shows it gives you certain role models to follow. These role models maybe good or bad but it is what I followed. I would base some decisions or ideas based of what the role model characters did. The characters became role models because they were "cool". This could have been a positive change or a negative change.

At elementary school you learn many things. One of the main things that you are able to do is relate with friends. By relating with your peers you can figure out which are your friends and which aren't. Throughout life you have to be able to relate and communicate with people. If you aren't able to communicate with people you will be come an "outcast". Elementary school teaches you a lot of things but it also teaches you basic life lessons.

In middle school grades finally count. I learned this because my parents dtaught me that grades are extremely important. My parents taught me this by pressuring me to get good grades. My parents would check my grades on-lne and if there wasn't a good grade they would let me know. They would have me change my work so I go a better grade. I now know that getting good grades is extremely important.

In middle school grades start to count. The way to get good grades is to do your homework. If you don't do your homework then you will have bad grades. Because of this it forces you to be responsible. You have to keep track of all you assignments so it gets done. This could be an example of a hidden cirriculum that teachers use. The reason that teachers may want to teach responsibility is because it is a life long lesson and should be use forever.

During middle school you constanly try to fit in with the "cool group". After awhile I learned that being in the "cool group" isn't as important as being yourself. If you are yourself you will find real friends that are acually like you, instead of fake friends that you are nothing like. So even though trying to fit in is what you were trying to do it isn't what you learned.

During middle school music affected me in a lot of ways. Certain types of music shaped my thoughts about certain topics. One of the things music helped me do is make new friends. It was easy to make friends that shared the same interests as me. Without music I don't think I would be as good of friends as I am with some people. Even though music is such a small things it had a huge impact on my life.
