  • 1.1 The Beginning

At the age of 6 I believe I had to grow up to help my family. I recall at a very young age feeling pressured and stress to read documents that I dont understand and would try my best to translate to my parents. Knowing that my parents depend on me so much, my psychological age at the age of 6 I felt I became an adult by comprehending what my parents were going through and try to find solution.
  • 2.2- Genetic Limits

At the age of 15, I believe is a great age to learn the genetic limits of a person where they are more comprehending what is going on in terms of health. Exposing them to their genetic healths history it helps them prevent any life threatening that could harm them physically, mentally and financially. The earlier they start with the help of their doctors or educators it is a great opportunity to grab resource for them to continue health lifestyle.
  • 2.1 Oxidative Damage

For this stage I believe young adults at the age 18 should start being very cautious and aware of Oxidative Damage. As our bodies start to develop and change through out time as well starting their independent journey, this is a good time to start a habit of taking vitamins and nutritional supplements to have a better health in the future as young adults are progressing with their health. The longer they wait , it will impact them in the long run.
  • 7.2 Transitions

My trigger transition would be when I went to college not knowing what to expect ahead of me. I moved into a completely new environment and new people that I never met before. On very first day of school, I experience something that I definitely don't wish anymore to go through on first day of school. After that incident, I went to a support group that I consider my therapy. It helped me alot in many ways and helped me develop support system with other people.
  • 7.3 Major Life Event

One major life event that I used coping is emotional- focused coping. Losing my dog last year was one of the most difficult and stressful time period of my life.I was very close to my dog and when losing him I was very devastated. What I did to cope was keeping myself busy by going out walks, participate school activities, and such to help me not to be so miserable. It helped me to not think about the negative energy I was feeling and to adjust to the new normal at home without the dog around.
  • 2.3-My current health lifestyle

My current health lifestyle is not healthy.Since the pandemic hit I became less active & have not been eating right. I have noticed I been on screen all day with no time to perform any physical activity. For about a month,I decided to developed a schedule to reduce my time on screen & set a time for physical activities.Setting a routine has helped me keep on track of my health and reminding myself to eat nutrition.I formed a rewarding system to help me stay motivated & accomplish my goals
  • 4.3 Adult Attachment Style

My attachment style based on my quiz are fear-avoidant.I agree with the results because I personally am afraid of being close to someone or be emotionally open to anyone on how I feel.I tend to avoid deep conversations or feel so uncomfortable to depend on others for help. I will find a way to get away of certain situations to avoid things. My attachment style does impact the people I am close with, where they will try to make me emotionally open by ensuring they are listening & I am safe.
  • 7.1 Fowler

I feel stage 4 Individuative-Reflective Faith fits me the most because ever since I came to college,I begin to question everything that I believe in my faith as well reflecting on the morals and values of the religion I grew up in.As time goes on,I do shift away my faith to where I start exploring more into other faith and see their morals and values or sometimes I keep practicing my faith I grew up in.I think in future I will find something that I feel more comfortable and continue practicing
  • 4.1 Young Adult Role Transition

Once I graduate from Gallaudet next year,I expect to face alot of challenges of figuring out what I want to do in terms of where I would want to work,my future & place to live.I expect to face this challenge because its often that many students are unsure what to do after their undergrad. It's either take a break, work, or go to grad school. To cope my challenges I believe is having a plan of what I am going to do,how long I plan to work at certain job,& set timeline when I will go to grad school.
  • 6.4- Individualistic

Watching Alyssa video about her aunt wanting to work at a bank I view that as a Individualistic because its her dream of pursuing that job for herself. She also mentioned how her aunt decided to drop out of high school because it was not a match for her, she developed her own decision making for her future instead of thinking of others and how it could impact them.
  • 6.1 My RIASEC type

I do feel like my personality traits correspond to my types because I am very social who love to meet new people as well love being artistic where its lets me be creative with my thoughts and feelings. Looking at jobs that fits my personality, I dont see anything that I find interesting in pursuing. Alot of job provided is being a therapist such as music therapist, art therapist, marriage and family therapist, etc. alot of suggestion is relating to mental health field which I dont see myself in
  • 6.2 Super’s Stages

If I pick to work as a Clinical and counselor Psychologist, in a establishment stage, I believe in my early 30's where Im in a position where I am in a stabilized job and possibly in advance position based on my experiences and degrees I have to earn the position. In that stage it is also where I develop new skills in the field by continuing my career and position.
  • 4.2- Older Adult Role Transition

Transitioning into older adult I expected to face body and health changes. In future I would love to have children and I know my body will face changes where I will have to learn how to adapt and once I get older my health can decline over time. To ensure I am healthy and stay healthy is to take care of myself and listen to my body. If I dont do that then I am putting myself in risk.
  • 2.4- Potential consequences of my lifestyle

With my poor choices in eating and lack of exercise,my potential consequences in terms of health would definitely getting diabetes. My family medical history is having diabetes. There is a cultural belief that if a family is well feed we are healthy but the food we eat is not always healthy. In the book it states sedentary lifestyle and unhealthy eating could lead to diabetes. To prevent me from getting these condition,I make sure I make the time to workout everyday & be very cautious with my meals
  • 6.3- Ego integrity vs despair

Watching Carina video about her grandmother express how hard it was for her to take care of her mother who was deaf. She express to carina looking back she wish she learned ASL to better communicate her mother growing up.I view this situation as ego integrity because she looking back on how she could have been assertive to learn asl to communicate her deaf daughter much better. It is possible that now that her granddaughter is deaf too she has bigger regrets on not knowing ASL to talk with carina
  • 3.2 Attention

The decline of my attention will affect my ability to live a successful IADLs. As I get older it will be difficult for me to process everything at once as my cognitive is trying to absorb the information I am seeing. Also with visual that is declining that will also impact my attention to capture things rapidly. To succeed IADls is having support around the house to ensure my safety not necessarily have to be with me 24/7 but making sure that I am safe and someone to rely on for certain things.
  • 3.1`Decision-Making

Decision-making when I'm 65 can affect my ability to successfully complete IADLs due to limiting my cognitive process and making decision based on less complex processes. The limit of my cognitive process, its could impact my daily life by not being able to do what I want to do independently. For example, that could be cooking, cleaning, managing finances, etc that can prevent me from my ability to perform those things. To compensate the decline, its important to optimize my cognitive health.
