Factoring & Path of Projectile
When you factor a quadratic equation you have to dissect each number. When you find the path of a projectile, you have to dissect each frame or moment. If it's video taped, then you go frame by frame to dissect it. Then you'll eventually end up with a quadratic eqaution and you will have to factor that. -
Quadratic Formula
b+-√b2-4ac / 2a the quadratic formula is used to factor quadratics. This formula is easier to use than factoring, I say this because you just have to plug in some numbers and solve it, while Factoring is taking step backwards, then trying to solve it. It's just more difficult, and I prefer the quadratic formula. -
Projectile Formulas
To find the horizantal distance we had to calculate the upward velocity and the starting height of the projectile. In order to find the vertical distance we have to calculate the forward velocity and the seconds in air.
