My first day of school consisted of the average thoughts of a teenager getting ready for their last- first day of high school. I spent the majority of the time nervous about who I would still be friends with this year, due to me not even seeing my friends the previous year due to covid. Once I got there everything felt the same, home had felt like home again, and I had nothing to worry about.

The 7th Day of August 2021, I started my new, exciting journey, of facing high school as senior, I'd been looking forward to senior year since I was freshman, and the day had finally come!

This event shed a bit of light on my early graduate plan, I quickly started to realize afterward that I wasn't as okay with graduating early as I'd thought.
-
Over the break, I did a lot of refocusing and rewriting of my plans for my future due to my decision not to graduate in December, I still had 5 more months left to finish as strongly as possible. I'd also just finished my induction to the National Honors Society at East Hamilton High

During this time, it was essentially grinding, focusing, trying to earn credit hours, doing community service, volunteering, building my resume, and just essentials to getting a start on post-secondary education.

I wish I could have attended prom, in both my junior and senior years. I had so much fun, I seriously enjoyed myself for the first time in a long time. It felt extremely good to be able to let go and be carefree for just one night after all of the sufferings that my classmates and I endured over the past two years. This day was one to remember for me and all of my friends, a day to never forget.

Graduation day was almost the same as prom day, I had the same nervous jitters, and I had gotten so many texts and phone calls. I was starting to feel overwhelmed before my arrival. There were many emotions roaming the air this day, But I don't think I could have expressed my feelings any more than I did. I smiled from ear to ear the entire day, even through the cries. Best day ever!!
