  • Freshman Year

    Freshman Year
My entire freshman year I had uneasy feelings about High School and I started to have second thoughts. Its tough because I had to worry twice as much becuase I am gay and just barely started to come out. At this time I didn't have a clue about what high school was all about.
  • Fitting in.

    Fitting in.
I was no longer playing football by this time, however, I was a sports trainer for the Coastal Triton AYF team in Ocean Beach. Playing sports was never my forte but I was intrigued by the science behind it. At this time I didn't have any idea what I wanted to do with myself. No one really thinks about life after high school in their freshman year.
  • Sophmore year

    Sophmore year
Here came the glorious reign of Mr.Richard in A.P. European History. All freshamn year we heard from our older freinds to take that class, not only because he was an amazing teacher but becuase you would walk out of that class with some respect for others and the world. I am no A plus student but Mr.Richard taught me a thing or two about life that I'll never forget.
  • A.P. Testing.

    A.P. Testing.
After weeks of reviewing and practice tests, we were ready for our first A.P. test. If im not mistaken Mr.Richard might have had a panic attack at least once.
The test was difficult and very time consuming. Though I did not pass the A.P. exam I had a taste of challenge, and I wasn't done trying.
  • Junior year

    Junior year
Junior year marked a big change in my life. That summer I had to grow up a little faster than I would have chosen to. I was almost jumped by three guys because of my sexual orientation.Thankfully, I got away unharmed but it really made me see real life for a minute. That in this day and age life would be tough and it is how we respond to situations that determines our character.
  • Sports Medicine/ Health Care essentials

    Sports Medicine/ Health Care essentials
This is where the seed was planted. The Idea of what I wanted to do in life. In this class I learned everything about the body, ranging from anatomy, histology, dieases, mutations, and even how to improve your Oxygen useage.
More importantly, Ms.Shuestick focused her teachings around sports and thier possible injuries. I was still a Sports trainer for the coastal tritons and I began to bring my school work into my extracurricular life.
  • Wear and tear

    Wear and tear
By this time I began to wear down in Mr.McElhaney's class. The class was tough but it was the first class I ever got interested in and it was a challenge. Nothing was given in the Mac attacks class. Your grade reflected your effort. Not to say he didn't offer help but I wanted to see if I could pass his class on my own.
  • Revalations

    Revalations
By this time college began to be the talk of my grade. I knew that a 4 year was out of the question for me; so I looked at City and Mesa's class schedules and saw Physical Therapy classes and other medical classes. I figured that becuase I was so interested in the body and I have some college credit coming from my sports med./health care class I should think about that as an option.
  • In the end.

    In the end.
Junior year was extremely fun and enlightening. Every moment was helping me to become a better person. By now I knew I wanted to pursue a career in the health field. Which specific realm I still don't know. There are a range of things that catches my eyes.
  • Class of 2012 !!

    Class of 2012 !!
Here we are, the days are numbered and the future looks bright. A second year in Sports Medicine with the wonderful Ms.Van hueven and Phsyiology with the insightful Ms.Graham. These two women have done nothing but further my education and understanding of the body. With thier teachings I am more of a complex thinker. The body is in sync with itself and what happens in one part of the body can greatly effect another part.
  • Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow

    Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow
My how the years have flown by. With a job at Chick-Fil-A and signed up for community classes the future looks promising.
Like the wise Mahatma Gandhi said "Action expresses priorities"
I want my tomrrow to be better than today. If I have to sacrifice some social time and miss some events to achieve that then by all means I will. I will enjoy my last high school summer with peace of mind becuase I am confident with myself and my decisions.
