During the Revolutionary war, Britain and the United States fought for the possesion of the new land (U.S). Finally, the Americans won the war and Britain's concluded that the United States would be a great trading partner for them. -
Israel&Palestine (Cultural-Political-Environmental)
Israel and Palestine have different religious veiws. Israel is Jewish and Palestine is Islam. They do not get along.
Palestine wants their own country, but Palestine has a source of water that they would not give Israel if they were independent. So Israel granted Palestine Autonomy. -
Germany& East and West Germany (Cultural)
As a consequence of the defeat of Nazi Germany in World War II, Germany was split between East and West, a period known as the division of Germany. They divided in Communis and Democratic sections. -
Canada&Quebec (Cultural)
Quebec is the only Canadian province with a predominantly French-speaking population. The rest of the territories speak english. This was a very cultural difference that no one could settle, so in 1980, quebec was declared independent. -
Czech Republic & Slovakia
In July 1992 Slovakia declared itself a sovereign state, In November the federal parliament voted to dissolve the country, despite polls saying that most of the citizens were against the split. In January 1993 Czechoslovakia was replaced by two independent states: Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
