This was great britains attempt to have support from the government for a homeland establishent in palestine for jewish people. This angered the Arabs because they wanted to maintain control of Palestine. -

After WWI the league of nations gave britain control of palestine. Britain seperated palestine between jews and arabs. Nazi prosecution began, so jews started coming to palestine. Afer WWII control was given to the unidted nations. They have it divided into jews and arabs. Jerusalem is now under international control, this upsets the arabs. In 1948 israel is announced as an independent state, which angers the arabs even more. -
