    Industrial Revolution

    The industrial revolution started when the world changed to manufacturing. Societies transitioned from an agricultural system to industrial systems. There was an increase in population numbers.The use of fuels in factories increased air/water pollution. An increase formed in the use of fossil fuels. There were new products created such as: cars, spinning jenny, etc. The industrial revolution ended when factories became more stabilized, and inventions slowed.

    American Revolution

    The Americans wanted to separate from Britain for more rights and freedoms. Britain was trying to gain more control over the colonies. There were many battles fought between the two. The colonies were outnumbered by Great Britain, but the colonies knew the territory better. The Colonies used their advantages over the British, and eventually won the battle. They formed their own country, and slowly began to grow and thrive.

    French Revolution

    The French were aggravated over many things. For example, they weren't pleased with France's debts, their involvement in the American Revolution, the new taxations, and their reduced privileges. There was violence on the streets and people were fighting all of the time. Everyone kind-of turned on each other. Finally, they overthrew King Louis Philippe and elected a Second Republic government

    Haitian Revolution

    Self-liberated slaves came together to go against French Colonial rule. They had an anti-slavery and an anti-colonial revolt. They no longer wanted to be slaves, or live in colonies. There were battles and fights between the two groups. The slaves were successful by ending slavery in France, and gained control of their territory once more. They are the only country where slave freedom was taken by force.

    Revolutions of 1848

    There were a series of Republic uprisings against European Monarchies. They began in Sicily and spread to France, Germany, Italy, and the Austrian Empire. There were uprisings, and fights over the period of 1848, Every revolution was overpowered and lost. There were results of little political change, and there was significant social/cultural change.

    Xinhai Revolution

    They formed an ideology to overthrow Empress Dowager Cixi. They wanted to establish a constitutional monarchy under the rule of the Guangxu Emperor. Their plan was discovered by the Governor General of Hunan and Hubei. There were twenty conspirators arrested and executed. There was finally a successful revolt that occurred, and they overthrew the Qing Dynasty. The Qing Dynasty was China's last imperial dynasty, because they were replaced by the establishment: Republic of China (ROC).

    Russian Revolution

    This was a political and social revolution. They had an ideology to replace monarchy with communism. The peasants and working class revolted against the government of Tsar Nicholas II. There were marches, uprisings, and fights. They successfully transformed the Russian Empire into the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR). This means they replaced Russia's monarchy to the first Communist state.

    Chinese Communist Revolution

    This revolution began after the Second Sino-Japanese War and was the second part of the Chinese War. This period was known as the War of Liberation. The Communist Party of China and Chairman Mao Zedong led the Chinese Communist Revolution. The revolt resulted in the proclamation of the People's Republic of China, on 1 October 1949.

    Cuban Revolution

    The Cuban Revolution was started, due to Fidel Castro's Revolutionary 26th of the July movement and its allies. They were against the military dictatorship of Cuban President Fulgencio Batista. There was an overall armed revolt that successfully took over the former Cuban Government. Batista was forced to leave the country, and the Rebels took over to form a new Cuban Government.

    Iranian Revolution

    The revolution was caused by cultural reform. They have been experiencing an economic crisis, and until that point, they were the leading cause of revolutions. Iran enjoyed the relative economic prosperity. Over a certain time period, there were a series of events that led to the last monarch of Iran to be overthrown. They then established an Islamic Republic.
