  • Boston Tea Party

    This gave East India a chance to escape bankrupcy and have a monoply on the importation of tea to America. The tea was cheaper than ever before. Even though the colonies paying tax on the imported tea would be acknowledging the Parliments right to tax them, they weren't worrying about that. They would rather pay taxes than deny themselves the peasure of a cup of tea.
  • First Continental Congress Meets

    This meeting was put in progress because the citizens were unhappy with the rules that Englad had set in place. The representatives from different colonies discussed how much control the British Parliment should have, and they agreed that Britain was passing laws that they had no right to pass.
  • Declaration of Independence Written

    This is one of the nation's most cherished symbols of liberty. Thomas Jefferson wrote this to show the breaking of ties between the colonies and the mother country.
  • Battle of Yorktown

    This was one of the last battles of the American Revolutionary War. It lasted 20 dadys and ended with the British General Charles Cornwallis's surrender on Oct. 19,1781
  • Bill of Rights Written

    The Bill of Rights is the first 10 Amendments of the United States Constituiton. These Amendments were ratified on December 15, 1791
  • National Assembly Established

  • Bastille Stormed

    A huge blood thirsty mob were searching for gun powder and prisoners that had been taken by the unpopular and detested king Louis XVI.
  • King Louis XVI Beheaded

    During his reign of kingship, the economy went downward, crops failed, and to make it worse he married a foreigner named Marie Antoinette. Also the rich people paid less in taxes than the poor people. All of this lead to his execution.
  • Toussaint L'Overture Leads Rebellion

    At the end of the 18th Century a self educated slave with no military training drove Napoleon out of Haiti and led his country to Independence.
  • Haiti is Independent

    This became the second independent state in the Western Hemisphere, and the first free black republic in the world.
  • Napoleon Names Himself Emperor

    Since King Louis XVI was executed, the city became corupted. So to get the city back on track Napoleon appointed himself Dictator in 1799 and Emperor in 1804
  • Battle of Waterloo

    A battle fought between Napoleon, emperor of France, and the Prussian Army headed by Gebhard Von Blucher. This took place in Waterloo, Belgium and it put an end to the tyrant rule of Napoleon as the emperor of France.
