This is related to society and culture because Mohandas Gandhi wanted to get India independence through nonviolence, and they wanted an independent society. This event is significant because when the British first colonized India for many decades, India did not fight for independence.

    The Holocaust, also known as Adolf Hitler's Final Solution, was a genocide during World War II in which Nazi, Germany systematically murdered approximately 6 million European Jews. This is related to culture and society because Adolf Hitler believes in only one society, which is only Aryans. He wanted to eliminate all the Jews. This event is significant because Hitler used propaganda techniques to the Germans so that Hitler can convince them anything about anyone.

    South Africa consisted of mostly natives with a system of institutionalised racial segregation and discrimination. Nelson Mandela, conspiring to overthrow the state, was jailed for his actions in South Africa. This is related to culture and society because apartheid is a strict racial segregation system towards people of color, similar to Jim Crow Laws. This is significant because Apartheid was introduced after World War 2 all the way until 1990.

    Decolonization is the process after World War 2, where countries gain independence under imperialism. This is related to culture and society because countries are fighting for their culture and society and independence. This is significant because countries that were imperialized did not want to fight for independence because there were World Wars going on.
