I was born in Portland OR.

Gaila was not only a teacher, she became a family friend. She taught me how to swim, and we spent many summer nights at her place growing up. She taught me how to read at the age of 4.
-
Mrs. Boyer was my 2nd grade teacher. She went above and beyone for me as I transferred into her class from a 1st grade class based on my reading level. I eventually skipped the first grade because of her taking me under her wing.
-
There was too many first graders in my first grade class. Based on our reading levels they moved 10 of us up into the second grade.
-
Angela Trullinger became my best friend throughout my life. We clicked instantly even though we were polar opposites. We are still friends today.
-
Moved from Portland to Gresham OR.
-
Even though this wasn't my relationship, it still affected the relationship with my father that I have today and increased the relationship that I had with my mother.
-
Very hard time in my life. Had more effect on me as I got older though.
-
Somewhere around this time. We always went to church with my father's parents. Once my parents got divorced we never went. I am not aware of any specific reason. From here on out we were taught to still believe in the Lord, but only went to church on occasion. Holidays mainly.

Met Aaron through band at the young age of 13. We dated for a whole 3 months before we broke up. Little did I know he would end up being the father of my first born.
-
Met Juanita Sewell at a birthday party. We connected over a game of Phase 10. She is still today my closest friend.
-
Started dating Aaron again.

Having my maternal Grandmother pass away was devastating to my family. She was the rock that held us all together. Having her leave this earth, made me beleive that there has to be a God and heaven. She deserved nothing less.

My mother's passing was really difficult on me. Being the oldest child I was left with a lot of responsibility, even though my mother did her best to make sure we were all taken care of. With the loss of both my maternal grandparent and now my mother, all of my rocks were gone and I was now the rock holding everything together.

My husbands mother and sister are religous. My husband is not. I am not really either, but I have gone to church with them more in the last 3 years than I have gone since I was a child. I have exposed my eldest son to church and he believes in God and Heaven based on what I have told him. Church has reinforced some of those things.
