    I Knew who my parents were, they were my only caregivers at this time. Started to crawl.

    I was pretty normal in the regards to development. Started to recognize things to play with and began to learn how to walk

    I had a little separation anxiety when I had to go to my aunts for her to watch me while my parents were at work (towards the end of age 2)

    Early Childhood: Biosocial Development

    Up to the age of 6- I had a pretty normal growth pattern. I was a little underweight, but i was also only 5lbs when i was born. I was eating healthy and was in the normal percentile for brain development.I was talking and running around with a lot of energy.

    These again were years that i had developed at a normal rate. i was on track for learning and was in the normal range for reading, writing and social interactions. i was fortunate enough to not have any disabilites when it came to learning.

    i was very playful and would act out roles as if i were a waitress or chef. i would play dress up and would always want to wear my mom's shoes. My parents used more ofthe authoritative parenting role.

    Middle Childhood: Cognitive Development

    During this time of my life i had only one health concern and that was when i had my tonsils taken out. I was an overall healthy child and become active in sports. i played t-ball in my younger years and advanced to softball, basketball, and cheerleading around the age of 10. I was still on track as far as brain development and learning

    I was a very intelligent child and was very good in spelling, I had even won a spelling bee around the age of 10. School did not tend to be that difficult for me.

    During this time i was a very confident child. i was well liked by most of my classmates. i was excelling in school and was also very good in the sports that i applied myself to. Bullying was never a big problem with the kids that i grew up with.

    I had my first surgery by having my tonsils taken out

    Started my sporting career with T-ball
  • Changes

    I had to get braces. I was one of the first kids in my class to get them. I was very embarrassed and did not want anyone to know. after about a month in school, 3 other kids had gotten them. that made me feel a lot better

    At this time of my life I was a little early in dveloping and puberty. At age 11 I hit puberty and was a little chunky. I was eating heathy and was aware of my body and the image I wanted to have.

    At this point, there were a lot of transitions being made in life. There was the entering into highschool,which I was very nervous about I was still on track when it came to my studies, but I was beginning to notice that I was having a little trouble in school with math.

    While in highschool there were many new experiences such as formal dances and a lot more boys in school than I was used to seeing. I had my first boyfriend in 9th grade (which did not last long) I had my first party where parents were not there. There was alcohol and smoking. These were all new things for me to experience, however, i think I did very well in not falling into peer pressure.

    I had to experience the first Death in my family. My dads uncle (who was like a father to him and a grandfather to me) had passed away. I was a bundle of emotions.
  • End of Grade School

    8th grade graduation. Time to move on to highschool
  • Highschool

    Started Hihschool. I was beyond nervous and was hoping I was going to make a lot of friends.
  • Another Death

    My mothers mom passed away from lung cancer. This was very difficultfor me because we were very close.

    Senior Year of Hghschool

    There were many things that happened. My grandfather (father or my mom) passed away from a stroke. I was on spring break when I got the news. I graduated from highschool and many of my friends were leaving to go away to college and I was staying home.

    Emerging Adulthood: Biosocial Development

    At this time in my life I believe That I was in the best shape I have been in thus far in my life. I was very active and very concerned with my appearance. I was exercising quite a bit and unfortunately tore my ACL. This injury put quite a damper on my physical activity for about a year.

    I moved away to go to college at Michigan State University, which was a whole new experience. I was very scared at first. I got over that fear and enjoyed myself as much as i could. I learned the stresses of college life and also the fun times.

    During this period of my life I continued to stay friends with some of the girls I went to highschool with. They are to this day some of my best friends. In 2006 I met a man who I would be in a long 41/2 year relationship with.
  • Graduation

    I graduated with a Bachelors degree from Michigan State University.
  • College

    Started my first year of college and Eastern Michigan University. I did not like it here because i was commuting and did not have many friends.
  • Sophomore year of college

    I started a new college0 Michigan State University. since i did not like commuting i had decided it was time for me to leave home. I hated being away for the first few months, but got very used to it and would say that was one of the best decisions of my life.
  • Another Surgery

    I had torn my ACL and had to have it repaired. I was very disappointed because I was a very active person always playing sports and working out.
  • First real job

    I had gotten my first real job at a mental health facility working as a receptionist.
  • Death

    My grandma (dads mother) passed away.

    Adulthood:Psychosocial Development

    I still have many close friends that I am thankful for. I no longer have a boyfriend and do not have any children. I hope to be married and have kids in the next 3-4years.

    I am 27 years old and a lot of people say I look like I am 18. I am not that tall and do look young. I hope to stay this way for quite sometime! I still enjoy working out and doing active things, but I can already tell my metabolism has slowed compared to when i was 20! I have not had any kids.

    I feel that I still learn new things on a daily basis. I also feel that I am beginning to think a little more"logically" than i was when i was younger. As the old saying goes" Im starting to sound like my mother" I hope to stay as alert and knowledgeable as i can

    Started a New Job at a different mental health facility where i work more closely with the children
  • Back to school

    Decided that what i orginally wanted to do for a career was not what I really wanted. I have decided to go back and get a bachelors degree in Nursing.
  • Career

    I hope to be settled with the career path of being a nurse and obtaining a good full time position.
  • Marriage

    I have not yet gotten married. But i am predicting to be married by this date
  • Baby

    I would like to have a child by this time- may be twins because my dad is a fraternal twin!

    :Late Adulthood: Cognitive Development

    I have not had any family history of grandparents with dementia or alzheimers. I hope I can keep my memory and brain function as active as possible

    I at this time in my life have no grandparents. The parents of my mother both died at very early ages. I hope I can stay as active as I can to help reduce the likelihood of dying at a young age.

    I hope I can find the love of my life and remain married until death do us part. I hope I have at least 3 kids and later in life I hope I am alive to see my grandchildren and great grandchildren
