Ana has lots of problems. She argues with her mother, father, and brother. She goes to West Torrance High School. -

Ana buys her clothes at Walmart. She does not have Calvin Kein or Nike like her friend. Her family does not eat fancy food and they are not as rich as her other friends. Ana tells us about her family. -
Chapter 2
In the morning Ana could not find her book and nobody helped her. Ana went to school and Sra. Borda offered a trip to Mexico that the school is paying for. -
chapter 2 part 2
Ana tells her dad that she can go to Mexico for free because she asked her teacher after school. -
chapter 3
After 3 months Ana leaves the large airport of Los Angeles. -
chapter 3 part 2
The Sanchez family isn't at the airport but she still gets there. She meets the whole family. -
Chapter 4
Ana goes to many places around the city including the park and the Sanchez gym. -

they compare Taco Bell and the tacos in Mexico -
chapter 5
Ana goes to the gym and meets Patricia -
chapter 5 part 2
Patricia invites Ana to her house and she goes there. -
chapter 6
Ana and Patricia go to a dance with many people. -
chapter 6 part 2
Ana meets Ricardo and they speak with each other about families and life. Ricardo is an expert at dancing and Ana is not very good at it. -
Chapter 7
Ana is upset that she has to go back to the United States -
chapter 7 part 2
Ana leaves the Sanchez family. -
chapter 8
Ana recieves a letter from Ricardo -

Ana writes back to Ricardo. She is upset that she can not visit Mexico soon. -
chapter 9 part 2
Ana and Paul start a dance and the entrance fee is clothes which will be donated to Mexican families and kids. -
chapter 9
Ana realizes that all families have problems and that she should appreciate her family for taking care of her and watching over her.
