    Father Passed Away
My dad got really sick when I was younger and he ended up passing away when I was in 5th grade. It’s a lot to lose a parent, especially at a young age. He was always homes when my mom wasn’t so losing him made me more independent.
  • Breaking My First Bone

    Breaking My First Bone
When I was in 8th grade I broke my wrist in gym playing flag football. I was running and doing turns making sure no one grabbed my flag and I tripped and landed on my wrist. I ended up fracturing it and couldn’t play softball for the summer league that year. I got and orange cast and had to have it on for 6 weeks. If anything this taught my to be more cautious during my rugby seasons. I’m always so nervous i’m going to fall and hurt myself and not be able to play for the season
  • Graduated 8th Grade

    Graduated 8th Grade
When I graduated 8th grade I said goodbye to all the kids I grew up with. I went to a high school that wasn't close to my elementary school so only a few kids I knew were going.

    Started Rugby @ Taft
As an 8th grader I went to my high schools sports night.I was interested in hearing about softball but a girl that graduated from my elementary school called me over and told me to join rugby.I decided to give it a try. So I got an email from the coach about the first practice and I went. I'm so thankful I went because my rugby team is like my family. I spend almost everyday with them during the season. On the first day of school sat with one of my rugby teammates.
  • Started High School

    Started High School
I started my freshman year at my high school. This completely changed me because this would be my life for the next four years.I was really nervous but I was excited at the same time. High school showed me how to be more outgoing and friendly because if I wasn't I wouldn't have any friends.
  • Took Biology

    Took Biology
This is important because I fell in love with biology. I became fascinated with genes and how humans came to be and evolved. Right now i'm stuck between wanting to be a clinical geneticist or a medical examiner. Either way i'm taking AP Bio senior year and i'm going to major in biology or biomedical science in college.
  • Met My Best friend Matthew

    Met My Best friend Matthew
I met my bestfriend Matthew my freshman year. He’s a really amazing person and I’m honored to be able to call him my bestfriend. To this day he’s still my bestfriend. He introduced me to a lot of new people and I think that he lead me on the path to becoming friendlier and more outgoing
  • First Home Run

    First Home Run
During my freshman year I was on the JV softball team for my High school. I hit my first homer of my life May 5th 2017. When I was running towards third and I heard my coach tell me to go home I was so excited. It was such an amazing feeling and I think that really motivated and pushed me to improve.
  • Went To City For Softball

    Went To City For Softball
My freshman year my JV softball team went to City. We played our biggest rivals and lost. 10-0. It was such a devastating defeat because a few weeks before that we beat them 10-3 for #1 seed so I never understood why we choked. If anything though this loss made me strive to get better. I wanted to be able to catch the balls hit over my head. I wanted to be able to hit the balls further. This experience also humbled me though. It showed me not to underestimate anybody
  • Met My Best friend Briana

    Met My Best friend Briana
My sophomore year of high school I walked into my 2nd period class and sat in front of my future best friend, Briana. Let me tell you a little about her. Shes Puerto Rican and has really pretty eyes, she has a really big gap, and she has a girlfriend. We clicked instantly and we started making jokes and getting closer(until our teacher moved us.) Shes still my best friend to this day.
  • First Rugby Try

    First Rugby Try
It was sophomore year my fall season. I don’t really score any try’s because of the position I play. I’m more like the boss of the field. I’m in charge of who stands where and where the ball goes and 9/10 the ball is going from my hands to somebody else’s not somebody else’s to mine. But this time that happened and I ran it down more than half of the field to score against the Chiefs. This was a really huge thing because there’s on 3-4 try’s scored per game on average. It really motivated me
  • Area 3 Drill Meet

    Area 3 Drill Meet
During the first two years of highschool I was in the NJROTC program. There’s a yearly drill meet at The Great Lakes Naval Base and everyone in our “area” attends. My sophomore year I went and it was so fun. We visited Marquette college (which is a big candidate for my choice of college)and then we had a competition with sit ups and push ups and running. We didn’t win an award but it was an amazing experience and I got closer with everyone in the RO family, made me more involved and interested
  • Went To State For Rugby

    Went To State For Rugby
My sophomore year I went to state with my varsity rugby team. We ended up losing the 3rd place competition to our biggest rival (again ugh so frustrating) by 2 points (that’s a kick in rugby) This made me so sad but I didn’t cry because we played our heart out and if that game had 5 more minutes we would’ve won. This just pushed me to strive for the W this year and I have all the faith in the world in my team.
