Personal Timeline

  • My birth

I was born in Porterville. My sister was born a year before and my mom was still going to college
  • Traveled

I went to India with my grandma for a year six months after I was born. Apparently i learned to speak pretty fluent Punjabi but i forgot most of it. It helped my mom out so she didn't have to work and go to college and take care of both kids.
  • Moved to Bakersfield

I moved to Bakersfield in 2009. Before I lived in Delano with my parents, both my grandmas, my sister, and my uncle. We moved to have more space.
  • My uncle got married

My uncle finally got married and moved out of the house so there was finally enough space. Before this i shared a room with my sister so we both got our own rooms after he left the house. He married my mom's friend Emily and shes my 2nd favorite family member.
  • My Pua died

I wasn't that close to her but the funeral was at Bakersfield and everyone was at our house and it was pretty sad even though I only met her twice. I wasn't directly effected but everyone who knew her was and it kinda changed my life a bit?
  • Started playing the flute

In fifth grade I joined the band because I just wanted to skip class for an hour every week. Eventually I got attached to it and started appreciating music and now I do band and marching band because i have a genuine interest. Fun fact: My current flute is named Gemima.
  • Made a friend

I didn't have any friends until this point so it was pretty important. It was pretty okay but we stopped talking when high school started. We were friends for about 2 years.
  • Went to Washington pt. 1

My family drove to washington for a wedding and a memorial for my Pua. I didn't know the people getting married but a lot of drama happened because someone decided putting twelve 9-16 year olds in one room for a month was a good idea and that's why it's important.
  • Made an instagram account

When I made the account I started thinking independently and formed my own opinions on things I'd otherwise not know about or things people around me had a bias against.
  • Went to Washington pt. 2

Went back to Washington the next year for three weddings in the same summer. It was like Washington part 1 but more dramatic because the most controversial kid in my family was mixed in this time. I also went to Canada during this trip.
