    Personal Responsibility & Independence
Stockdale High School Graduating from high school was the beginning to experience personal responsibility and independence. Shortly after graduation I enrolled at San Diego State University and began living life on my own terms and realized it is ultimately up to me to determine my life's path.
  • Attention to Detail

    Attention to Detail
Microsoft Becoming an MCSE requires in-depth knowledge of technical specifics and new technologies. My instructors called the overwhelming amount of information "like drinking from a fire hose," which taught me the importance of paying attention to detail and being able to compartmentalize a plethora of information.
  • Leadership- Assiduousness

    Leadership- Assiduousness
Angel Park Golf Club Began working at Angel Park Golf Club which taught me leadership skills, assiduousness, and project management through managing the largest golf operation and staff in Las Vegas as the First Assistant Golf Professional. My position entailed overseeing the financial climate to set and achieve goals, manage all golf employees, as well as be an example setter for professional attitude and performance.

    First Assistant Professional

Managing a staff of over 50 people and a property with a budget of over $15 million in revenue was insightful to say the least. A typical day for me would have involved staff meetings, ownership conferences, teaching golf lessons, running large tournaments and preparing for the future. It was ultimately up to me to ensure the staff and programs exceeded all expectations.
  • Entrepreneurship

    Entrepreneurship
I began a residential computer services company to offer affordable, efficient management of personal networks and equipment. While the company only operated for 2 years, I learned a tremendous amount about starting a business, marketing it, and managing overall operations.

It was the first of many to come.

Importance of Education- Multi Tasking- Goal Setting
College of Southern Nevada I made the decision to return to school and to continue towards a degree in Finance. While both going to school and working full-time was a challenge, it was important for me to learn the value of goal setting and multi-tasking.

    Return to School

University of Arizona College of Southern Nevada Enrolling in school again after 10 years off has been crucial to continue to develop myself. I truly believe that if we do not constantly push ourselves in the face of adversity that we will have failed to realize our full potential. Taking courses like economics, accounting, as well as art/music history has expanded my knowledge base and marketability.
  • Success by Hard Work- Goal Setting

Success by Hard Work- Goal Setting
At the end of 2010 I began to see all the hard work and determination pay off. I won the employee of the year award which was voted on by my peers and General Manager, which after working there for 9 years proved that I have a consistent, strong work ethic and try to the best I can on everything I do. As well, after a year of going back to school for the past year I earned a 4.0 GPA through 24 units and was on the President's List both semesters.
  • Risk Taking- Determination

    Risk Taking- Determination
University of Arizona Transferring to the University of Arizona was proof of determination to realizing a goal to attend a respected university and business school. To do this I left my position at Angel Park Golf Club and took a risk in order to succeed. Leaving Angel Park was not a popular decision by many of my friends and family, but I knew that if I want to become the person and professional I want to be I have to continue to push myself.
  • Continue to Set/Achieve Goals

    Continue to Set/Achieve Goals
"This one step - choosing a goal and sticking to it - changes everything." Scott Reed I believe through goal setting that anything is achievable and whatever we put our minds to we will accomplish. Going forward, the goals I have for myself are to graduate with a degree in Finance by the end of 2013 as well as transition into private equity and real estate finance after graduation.
