    Christmas In New Zealand
My family and I travelled to New Zealand for 2 weeks; this was the first time I have met some of my extemded family. It is really interesting seeing where your ''roots come from'' and hearing different stories about family.

    BC Summer Games
I competed in the BC Summer Games for competitive swimming in Langley. This was the first time I had travelled by myself without the rest of my family. I had been training hard all year and summer before this to go and it was such a big accomplishment for myself when I had succeeded the required swim times to go.
  • CDC Volunteer Swim Program

    CDC Volunteer Swim Program
This a program where you help special needs kids swim. You spend time with them every Wednesday for about an hour. This program taught me how rewarding it is to do volunteer work for other people. The little boy i swam with would be so delighted every week when I came and it was a really special thing knowing how much of a difference you were making to a child's life.
  • Getting A Job

    Getting A Job
I got my first job ever working at Tim Hortons. I have been working there for almost a year now, one day a week. Working makes you geel grown-up being able to make your own money and you learn better social skills from having to deal with difficult customers.
  • Hiking Mount Robson

    Hiking Mount Robson
My family and I went on a 3 day hiking trip up Mount Robson. Since you are pretty nature dependent for those 3 days it makes you realize how dependedent on technology some people are in their everyday lives. This trip made me realize how much I love the outdoors and how technology is taking over much of our lives and it can be stressful.
  • Taylor Swift concert

    Taylor Swift concert
I went on a week long road trip with my best friend and her familt to Taylor Swift's concert in Edmonton Alberta. I think Taylor Swift is a big inspirator and from being at her concert it was just a reminder that you should always "be yourself"
  • Encounters With Canada

    Encounters With Canada
This is a week long educational, school based trip to Ottawa where you travel alone and meet teens from all over Canada. I went in the week of Atrs and Culture and from going on this trip I am now inspired to become fluent in French as most people living in Ottawa are bilingual. I also made some great friendships that will last a lifetime.
  • Kickboxing

    Kickboxing
I made a major life stlye change from quitting swimming to joining kickboxing. I had been swimming for 2 hours, 5 days a week before school. Kickboxing has been a great change and it has built my confidence in knowing that I have self defense skills if I ever need them.
